Aston Martin Virage!

Quote:
Under the brights lights in Geneva, Aston Martin has revealed the Virage - a "new" 2+2 model which sits between the DB9 and DBS models in the Aston Martin lineup.
With the mildly facelifted DB9 launched last summer, the Virage has us scratching our heads as we contemplate why Aston is passing the Virage off as a new model. Same kind of confusion also ensued when spy photographers previously caught it doing rounds at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. We didn't know know to make of it.
Regardless of how you slice and dice it, the vehicle is a DB9 with a new more assertive look. On the outside of the Virage, which if you're into anagrams also spells Viagre, you'll notice a One-77 inspired aluminum front grille, new front bumper fascia, new fender side strakes with built-in LED repeater lamps, side skirts and rear diffuser.
The Virage uses the same front mid-mounted 6.0 liter V12 producing 490 bhp (365 kW/497 PS) and 570 Nm (420 lb-ft) of torque. The power plant is mated to a six-speed Touchtronic II automatic transmission through a carbon fiber prop shaft and the gearbox is mounted transversely on the axle for 50:50 total weight distribution.
0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) clocks in at 4.6 seconds and top speed is 299 km/h (186 mph).

Geneva 2011: Volkswagen Giugiaro Go! Concept is a sharply designed, futuristic MPV

Now that Italdesign Giugiaro is part of the larger Volkswagen Group, the famed design house has worked up a pair of VW-badged concepts for the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. In addition to the smaller Tex hatchback, Giugiaro has created the Go! MPV, giving us a glimpse at what a people-mover for The People could look like in the future.

Like the Tex, the Go! rides on Volkswagen's new modular transverse architecture which could accommodate a wide range of powertrain options. Here, the Go! is powered by the automaker's Blue-e-motion EV technology, and according to Volkswagen, the concept can travel about 150 miles on electric power alone.

The Go! is full of interesting design quirks, such as rear doors that push backwards before sliding back parallel to the vehicle, a large glass greenhouse and a high seating position. See for yourself in our gallery of high-resolution live shots below.

Geneva 2011: 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Estate puts the hammer down

Mercedes-Benz hasn't made a whole host of changes for the 2012 C63 AMG. Exterior styling aside, the engine has carried over unchanged, and if we're honest, that's perfectly fine with us. After all, the 451-horsepower 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 under the hood is a gravel-voiced honey of a powerplant, and even if you don't add in the optional AMG Development package that boosts output to 481 hp, the end result is simply stunning.

Among the limited changes under the skin is the institution of AMG's 7-speed Speedshift MCT gearbox derived from the cogswapper in the SL63 AMG. The transmission has a new 'Controlled Efficiency' mode, and combined with a new power steering pump and other small changes, Benz says the C63 gulps down about 10 percent less fuel than it did last year.

So, what's new for 2012? There's a new front fascia with a redesigned lower apron, grille and daytime running lamps, and the new headlamps are a bit more akin to what we see on the SL roadster. Inside, there's a new dashboard with LCD screen, a revised three-spoke steering wheel, and an expanded range of optional tech features like lane-departure warning and internet access. Good stuff, but with a car like this, we could hardly care about appearance with such an absurdly fantastic powerplant under the hood.

The 2012 C63 AMG makes its debut at the Geneva Motor Show, and we have a fresh batch of images of the new hotness direct from the show floor. In fact, just to tease us a bit more, the automaker even chose to debut the not-for-U.S. Estate version, which turns the awesomeness level up to 11. Click through the gallery below to see what's what, then head on over to the jump to read about the million tiny ways in which one of our favorite sport sedans has improved for 2012

Guys, can any of you please go to the Gumpert enclosure & post pics of what they have on display.
I'm not at the show, but sourced the pics from autoblog.com and the associated article with with

Quote:
Remember the Gumpert Apollo? It boasted world-beating performance while wearing a face only a mother could love. Thanks to design firm Touring Superleggera, the Apollo now has a much better looking new sibling sharing the Gumpert stable. It's called Tornante, which, according to Google Translate, means "hairpin bend" in Italian. For all we care, it could mean "Sexy Catfish" because it's a huge leap forward in style when compared to the Apollo, even if the split-window Chevrolet Corvette rump is derivative and more than a little unflattering.

Just because this new Gumpert is softer doesn't mean it has any less bite than the Apollo. Gasoline is fed to the mighty 4.2-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, which produces 700-horsepower. The Tornante utilizes the same TT40e transmission as the Apollo but received paddle-shifters.

We're still waiting for more details to rise to the surface, because word on the Geneva streets is that Gumpert has an even more powerful version planned for the future. Apollo owners, feel free to remove the bag from your head and head-on out to your local Gumpert dealer. Just tell them you want "the prettier one" this time.

this car looks like a tough competition to the Audi R8 and other sport cars.
I just love the shaping of the tail- light!
its has a very futuristic, yet simple design which is appealing to the eye.
Hopefully, we should see this in India sometime soon!
If Indian celebrities can afford the R8 or the Ferrari Italia, why not this!

Thanks Rehaan for the shots.
Ma dream car. Just thinking of it makes me droooooollllllll
Well I can't dream of it being launched here.
Even then it would be outta my range. Something like the Junior FT 86 or the Hiromu Naruse special hatch would do well.
BTW, any change to the interiors? Same zipped up interior?

@Dicky - The interiors were not on display. Perhaps like many concept cars, this display model didn't even have any "interiors".
