Next in line after the revived Ford Mustang and Dodge Charger is the Chevrolet Camaro.

I hear that this will be unveiled at the 2006 North American International Auto Show in Detroit this month. Looks much much better than the Mustang. If the Camaro will have the V8 LS2 with 400HP like the article says, Dodge will be leading the pack in terms of horsepower with its 425HP V8 Hemi engine.

Dont forget the Dodge Challenger concept. Another car I cant wait for!!!

They cant copy from their heritage forever, so we have to cherish these few years when they do.......

Oh yes, of course the Challenger is another revival. Also the Holden built Pontiac GTO which is not doing that great in the States.

man the camaro looks nice..much better than the mustang..if they make this as is..which is highly likely..it would make a big bite on the mustang sales..

Yep. Wish the Firebird was revived too......taking inspiration form the 1970 Trans Am, one of my fav American cars........

But what angers me is that they screwed up the Impala. Why cant they make it the stylish, powerful car it once was, instead of the anonymous boring newone it is today?

the Camaro concept reveals many design similarities - especially the thick-chunky theme which seems to be 'inspired' by the newer chunky Charger & chunky Mustang.

the dual-exhausts look great but could do with smaller pipe diameters. a cat could fit in there with ease.

the Pontiac Firebird / TransAm was revived and recently discontinued (2002). i'm waiting for a revival too but looking at the Camaro, i don't have much confidence in GM.
the current trend by Dodge to make a Charger by strapping a body-kit onto a Chrysler 300 doesn't inspire much confidence either.
the new Ford Mustang looks good, but thats all it does..
the less said about the Chevy Impala, the better..

After seeing the camaro on the television, I can just think of one statement.

GM sucksssss...........

Its an excellent car.

Btw dodge charger is no less than the camaro.

Ford should start thiking again for its mustang redesign.:)

Dude, I know that. I also know the camaro was discontinued at about the same time. So if theyre reviving the camaro now, its about time they do ti for the 'bird too. Thats what I meant.

what a car, will it make into production...the interiors / dials look amazing.

guys check this thread out..more stuff on the camaro..i love muscle cars..wish i could afford one !

there is this ford cougar that I see very often here in Toronto.

The designs is one of the best I have seen. I hope ford revives it.

I personally liked the Puma more than the Cougar, although both were pretty awesome designs.

If the Camaro does make an appearance in 2007 or 2008 MY, a Firebird will too be a distinct possibility using the same platform and the LS2. Personally, I wish Chrysler would do something about the current Charger . Currently, the SRT series, the GTO, and the V series from Cadillac marks the return of Detroit muscle in a big way. Love the STS-V & the XLR-V, though they are more of Euro performance cars than muscle cars. Not a fan of the CTS, looks too edgy for me.

phew....the concept camaro looks hot hot HOT!!!! what i would truly like is the a mix of both the camaro and the charger... the camaro body on the charger srt 8's 425bhp v8 hemi engine!!! now THAT would be calling for some barely streetlegal trouble!!! it would be the perfect beauty morphed with beast combo!

Wish they would revive the firebird too. I've always dreamed of having a car styled like that.

godspeed.
