Can some one advise on the easiest way to travel to the circuit after flying in from bangalore on a no frills budget. an area to stay in and the correct bus route to choose while buying the tickets for it.

Best option for you will be to avail the shuttle bus service. Delhi is well connected via Metro so travelling intra city should not be an issue. Cheap hotels are aplenty in Karol Bagh / Paharganj area. You can also check out :: YOUTH HOSTELS ASSOCIATION OF INDIA :: Home for Youth Hostel rooms.

I would advise everyone to book hotels and air/train tickets well in advance. Delhi hotels are already expensive and limited. The good ones will get booked very quickly.

Intercity travel is very good and easy to understand.

Re: Sale of tickets for Indian GP has started!

I think the Premium stand North is the best and that's the most I am going to go (not sure when it's going to open for bookings). If not that then I am not quite sure. Star stand 1 & 2 are an option but due to DRS overtaking thrill is a bit dampened (overtake happens somewhere in the middle of the straight with the guy being overtaken having no chance of a come-back).

For those travelling to Delhi from elsewhere, I suggest a hotel near any metro. Travel by Metro to either the nearest BIC bus pickup point. Book your hotels/tickets quick as hotel charges have already doubled in many places.

Re: Sale of tickets for Indian GP has started!

Guy just got an sms that I have been selected as a marshall for the Indian GP and have been asked to attend the compulsory training in Delhi on 9th and 10th September.
They tell me now after I had already booked my tickets in star stand east1!

Need to take a call on whether I can commit to this or will go as a spectator

Re: Sale of tickets for Indian GP has started!

Folks, those who've booked tickets, please update the thread : http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/team-b...ml#post2488181

That way, we'll know who all are going to be there on Raceday at which stand. Maybe we could plan a T-BHP Mega meet sorta thing.

This was initiated last year itself; sometime as early as Sept.

The last chance was the induction program held a couple of months earlier. Not possible now :P

If you are really interested, you can try your luck by sending them a mail. Many who had registered earlier are dropping out now.
As it stands now, trainings are yet to happen, and you haven't missed much by not attending induction program.

Question is - who to ask? who to send? I live in Noida so visiting the track isn't much of an issue for me.

Immc has a Facebook page. You could try that perhaps.
