For Senna fanboys :Ayrton Senna - by Alain Prost

prostfan.com - Ayrton Senna by Alain Prost

One of the great racing driver talking about the greatest racing driver of all time.

Quote:
"Well, what can you say about that? After I'd retired we talked about it, and he admitted to me - as he did to the press - that he'd done it on purpose. He explained to me why he did it. He was furious with (FIA President) Balestre for not agreeing to change the grid, so that he could start on the left, and he told me he had decided that if I got to the first corner ahead of him, he'd push me off."
I miss Ayrton and his drives in Monaco.

How can one forget about his debut at the Monaco circuit in 1984, when he had Prost within his limit and the race was red flagged. That was his best, considered he was a Rookie driving in a not-so-competent-car, Toleman. He wasn't lucky most of the times, otherwise he'd have won so many races and championships. :(
Anyway, that's Part and parcel of the sport. I wish, I was older...

I stumbled upon this 2021 article about a place Senna rented in the UK. It appears the owners still get visits from his fans!

Quote:
Wayne Russell, 62, has lived in Ayrton’s former abode in Berkshire since the 1980s, and said that fans of the Brazilian still visit the house today – 27 years after Ayrton moved out.
