Ferrari has confirmed talks with Kubica as well!
So Alonso whipped Fisichella who lost to Heikki (in his debut year), who was shown the door loud & clear by Hamilton, and yet Sutil failed to beat him. If they just want to fill the 2nd seat they have Massa. Then there's the question of Kubica. Why would they want Sutil? I would rather give the test role to Kubica and if he is what he was pre-injury, maybe just replace Massa mid-season (especially if he's having another season like 2011).

I will launch a protest with Ferrari if they hire Sutil.

Massa has been a good fit at Ferrari, but now he is clearly off the pace.
Which is costing the team points in the Constructors. His highest finish in 2011 was 5th!

Kubica will not take Alonso being quicker than him very well. He is not diplomatic (like jenson is), which would not bode well for the team.

Sutil is clearly in form though.

Re: The 2012 Formula One Season

All links between Sutil and Ferrari have been rejected by his management. I think Ferrari should try to develop Jules Bianchi or Bortolloti. Its about time they invested in some fresh young talent.

Dont be surprised if Massa does enough to retain his seat in 2013 though. He is a smart cookie.

Ferrari have announced the launch of their 2012 challenger for the 3rd of Feb, 2012

Sahara Force India have completed crash tests on VJM05, and hopeful that it will debut at the first tests of the year about a month from now

Re: The 2012 Formula One Season

I do hope that the Mclaren and Ferrari's give a good tough fight to the Red Bulls in the 2012 championship. There is no doubt about Vettel's driving talents. I seriously do hope Hamilton,Button, Alonso and Massa give a good fight. In fact 2011 season was more boring because of the monotony of the Red Bull domination. I think Force India has the capability of getting into the top5 in the 2012 season. Hope this year's season is a much more exciting championship.

Re: The 2012 Formula One Season

It really will be a shame if all the top drivers.. in the peak of their careers..are fighting in cars that greatly differ in speeds.

Ferrari, i'm pretty sure cannot have a worse year than 2011. Though the gap to Red Bull was a big one. Will also be interesting how quick Mercedes is.

Barrichello back in Williams frame

Rubens Barrichello, the veteran who has driven for the team for the last two seasons, is back in with a chance of staying with them for 2012.

The following news item seems to indicate that Sutil's chances are almost zilch now, so best bet for Williams would be Barrichello.

Then he will hold another record of the oldest pay driver in F1 and what a way to build your great old team Sir Frank if this old pay driver comes back to Williams!

(using my 2 smileys)
Thats the first thought that came to my mind, oldest racer, most race starts and now the oldest pay driver.
They should be giving chance to young talet, old isnt always gold. Nico has shown and outperformed Schumi almost every time as he has settled with the car well, Sutil is doing good and many more.

It appears Bruno Senna has joined Williams after being listed on the team website as a driver.

Maldonado was confirmed much earlier.

Bruno completes the line up.
Rumours that he brought in USD $17million in sponsorship! Mega

Feel sorry for Ruebens.

Wow. bruno must be riding high with the Senna tag, hope he can prove on the track.

I guess there are no options for ruebens now. I think the door is pretty much shut.

Great! So Bruno is getting another chance with a different team! I hope he does much better than his earlier attempts and brings more pride to what his last name holds in F1.
