I will explain more when I feel it is appropriate. I'm discussing my situation with my sponsors and they are behind me. There are a few people at Yamaha who I hate to leave. And they know who they are. I wish Yamaha the best. I won't make any further comments until the offical announcement comes out."
I don't understand this sudden move. Should have tried to stay atleast one more year.

Re: Moto GP 2012

Rossi to Yamaha, Crutchlow and Iannone to Ducati - is what I read on another forum. Someone posted that a day before Spies first commented on Twitter about his situation for next year (a rather cryptic message).

Re: Moto GP 2012

He would be disclosing further as the season ends. For now, he has been linked with BMW partnering Melandri #33 at WorldSBK. I would say he should have stuck with Tech 3. He has truck loads of talent and seeing him go is disheartening to say the least.

Re: Moto GP 2012

So...did you guys watch action from BRNO? I think it was the season's best and most entertaining race. Almost fell off my chair watching the last lap battle between the two riders. Dani Pedrosa is quite something, and that brilliant last corner move proves him.

Just wish he can go on winning the championship this year. Lorenzo still has 13 points advantage, and with that pace it's not going to be easy for Pedrosa in coming rounds. I would love to see Pedrosa taking the title though. He deserves it more than anyone else in my opinion.

Re: Moto GP 2012

This is the first time I've seen Dani battling it out and emerging triumphant. As good as a rider he is, he was often losing out in crucial situations for one reason or the other. Very well done for bringing back the championship race. Personally, I'd love to see Dani lift the cup.

What a last corner move! Switched to star sports just in time to catch the last three laps action

Re: Moto GP 2012

I'm sooo happy for Dani. Was jumping on the couch during the last lap.

Stoner's absence has given a him a new sense of leadership and confidence.

Feel bad for poor Ben Spies. He seems to have the speed but either experiences mechanical failures or simply cannot keep the bike from crashing.

He was looking soo good in Indy before the engine let go. Speaking of.....when was the last time you saw an engine blowing up in MotoGP, its pretty rare.

This year only. At Assen. Happens to be technically the same bike as Spies's M1. Which was Lorenzo's ride after Bautista crashed onto him at the very first corner of that race. ;-)

Re: Moto GP 2012

Wow, Rossi truly did prove his detractors wrong today. Excellent ride from him. Poor Pedrosa's Championship hopes have taken a serious blow after not scoring any points today. It was turning out to be a very tight Championship with the way Dani charged to victory in the last 2 races. Unfortunate that he couldn't finish today.

Not taking away anything from Rossi, but had Casey & Pedro been on the grid, he could have mustered 4th.

Can't wait to see him on the Yamaha. He still has the desire to ride & win.

And yes, he rode a flawless race.

Feel sorry for Dani :(
