Re: 2012 F1 - Spanish Grand Prix

Watched the Qualifying on Live Streaming site. And.. Maybe i will watch the race tomorrow in the similar fashion, Un-interrupted and NO STEVE SLATER

Tyre wear is so damn bad that we now get to see NO SHOOT-OUT in the qualifying

Good to see Hamilton on P1 and surprisingly Maldonaldo on P2 a good consolidated P3 for Alonso won him lot of cheers from his local fans. Looking forward to tomorrow's race.

Pos Driver
1. Lewis Hamilton
2. Pastor Maldonado
3. Fernando Alonso
4. Romain Grosjean
5. Kimi Raikkonen
6. Sergio Perez
7. Nico Rosberg
8. Sebastian Vettel
9. Michael Schumacher
10. Kamui Kobayashi

Penalized for what? Did I miss something?

Re: 2012 F1 - Spanish Grand Prix

End of Qualifying puts Hamilton on top with Maldanado Second and Alonso Third!..Vettel and Schumacher did not set Q3 times.

Surprise: Mclaren's gap to second. Williams rise and Ferrari's resurgence.

Disappointment:

1. Kimi Raikkonen - Could have easily been P2, He was up on Alonso's time by 3 tenths up until Sector. Atleast he starts from the clean side of the grid.

2. Massa - Its time for Ferrari to seriously consider the second seat. 17th on a car where Alonso took P3 is attrocious

3. Kobayashi - Feel bad for him. Hydraulics failure put him out of Q3 but would have loved to see what he had got.

The best "nurse" would win the race. It is going to be all about managing tires.

He stopped on the slow-down lap (car trouble). Not sure why. If I remember correctly there was a ruling of some sort that penalizes for this. I could be wrong.

Below is the rule.
'If a driver is deemed by the stewards to have stopped unnecessarily on the circuit or impeded another driver during qualifying, his times may be cancelled.

Must be a great day for F1 & fans seeing no cars ready to do qualifying! Thank you Hembrey :-)

Great job by Pastor and Lewis. The Ferrari is up there and I am happy! Looking forward to the race.

He did not stop unnecessarily. It was a technical glitch as per Whitmarsh and Hamilton did not block anybody on their flying lap. No penalty. Hamilton Keeps pole.

The only penalty would be if there is a gear box or an engine problem and Mclaren doesn't think so.

Re: 2012 F1 - Spanish Grand Prix

Qualifying was good, have become a big fan of Pastor Maldonado, he was very aggressive in the corners and finished off Q3 very well before Hamilton nudged him out for the pole.

As usual the Work horse Fenando Alonso got the best out of a underperforming Ferrari.

I felt Hamilton only had just enough fuel for a lap so couldnt roll into the pit and stopped in the track itself.

The Pirellis are turning out to be the pits, following Bernie's orders. More such 'brilliant' ideas, and we might as well watch WWE

Well, I heard the commentators discussing that was illegal too. Any how, it's gonna be a thrilling start to the race with fireworks from Alonso for sure (remember 2011). He's on the racing line too luckily.

Another screw up by Mclaren running Hamilton's car very low on fuel!?

Bad, Alonso and Kimi both now get pushed to the dirty side of the grid!. They have an extremely good shot at winning tomorrow.
