Go online mate. The ESPN Star coverage plain sucks!

Pastor is flying and has track position, but will he have tyres? This is going to be a cracking finish.

Re: 2012 F1 - Spanish Grand Prix

Its going to be an awesome finish, Maldonado is doing good but Alonso will give him a fight till the end. Hope Maldonado could keep his head but Alonso is pushing real hard.

Straight line speed of the Ferari is slightly better than the Williams renault that could be the decider with DRS wing open, both have made their last pit stop.

In the meantime Kimi is flying after his 3rd pit stop and currently in 3rd catching up fast.

Re: 2012 F1 - Spanish Grand Prix

Anyone else hates that chicane before the main straight?

Maldonado set for win (4 laps to go)

Edit: He wins! He wins! He wins! He wins!

I watched the full race ONLINE, what a relief of NO STEVE SLATER.

It took a PASTOR from Williams, and he Wins it for them

What a race, awesome.

Alonso did a great job in front of his home crowd. Good to see Kimi take it cool for his P3.

Yet another NEW WINNER this weekend.

Fifth driver and fifth team. Maldonado wins, Alonso second. Then the the two Lotuses and Kobayashi.Vettel sixth, Rosberg seventh, followed by Lewis and Button. Hulkenberg picked up the last point.

Re: 2012 F1 - Spanish Grand Prix

What a season this has been so far absolutely fantastic.

Excellent race and wow what a drive by Pastor Maldonado, kept his head till the end and got his maiden F1 grandprix win.

Alonso pushed Maldonado till the end but couldnt keep up the pace, was good to see Kimi push hard for the third place at the end.

Re: 2012 F1 - Spanish Grand Prix

Victory for for Maldonado
P 2 for Alonso

P 3 for kimi

Brilliant race this one, i wish it could have been slightly closer at the end for podium battle.
Nonetheless this season is getting better and better. 5 out of 5 different winners.

Re: 2012 F1 - Spanish Grand Prix

What a race! Though I was rooting for Alonso, I'm very happy for Maldanado!
Yet another great cool race by the ice man Kimi. He's looking good for the top slot.
What can I say about Michael, he seems to be carrying loads of misfortune with him. I was extremely disappointed with what happened with him.
Anyway, with different teams winning, I really want Force India on top slot and want to hear Indian national anthem post finish. With the way the season's going anything is possible.

Re: 2012 F1 - Spanish Grand Prix

Congrats to Paster and Sir Frank.

For me driver of the day is either Paster or Lewis. Wonderful drive by LH today. Finishing 8th starting from 24th and in just 2 stops while everyone else went for 3/4 stops. He did 30 laps on the hard compound. Respect! Luckily McLarens did not screw(relatively) his pitstops this time.

What exactly happened? The front left tire seemed to have run over a massive invisible accident.

Perez's pit-stop was absolutely catastrophic, but it wasn't as bad as Shumi's move on Senna.

But above all, a brilliant and well deserved win by Maldonado! I really though Alonso would have him in the end, the way he was lessening the gap in the DRS zone lap after lap was quite worry-some.

Re: 2012 F1 - Spanish Grand Prix

Great job by Maldonado to keep the position and see through the chequered flag. And it was interesting to see the way Kimi was closing in. Almost thought that he will get past Alonso. Overall a great race!

That said, there is something seriously wrong with McLaren this season. Yesterday it was with qualifying, and today again they managed to demonstrate the pit-stop woes.

Was it Senna’s move on Shumi, or the other way around? But yes, quite unfortunate for him.

Thanks for spotting the mistake, I meant the other way around . So how is Shumi justified in calling Senna an idiot(German racers seem to love that word)? How is the guy in front responsible for the guy behind at all?
