Really looking forward to this race, hope Msc or Rai make it this time.
There were reports of protests from some university students threatening to disrupt the race weekend. Hope its a hoax threat.

A seventh winner predicted in the game of musical chairs? Wouldn't be surprised.
Pirellis behaved themselves at the slow speed Monaco track, impossible on a fast track.
The season will continue to be 'exciting.'

Could these hackers threats turn out to be real?

The internet hacktivist group Anonymous says it intends to disrupt Montreal’s Grand Prix race next week to show its support to student protesters demonstrating against tuition fee hikes in Quebec, Canada, according to reports.

The group plans to “wreck anything F1 related,” which could include attacking websites and disrupting the race by manipulating servers,

Since this circuit is a High Speed one, we can expect to see the "Michael Magic" once again, If he does that, there's no doubt he will be on podium.

Every team are giving it their BEST SHOT with each races, Is F1 is really changing course ?

Yeah hopefully..
We will see some or at least a couple of hi-speed laps and we will hear "please look after your tyres."

Yes. Would love to see SCHUMY on the podium. But bad luck seems to have possessed him, he either gets in to an accident or his car develops some snag.

Also eagerly wait to see how the Ferraris perform.
I am supporting Alonso to win the championship this time. How the Ferraris perform for the rest of the season remains to be seen.

Can we expect Massa to perform strongly from now on as he did at Monaco ?

If the floor was illegal, how can the victory be upheld as right ?
Why is there double standards here, McLaren stripped of all the points few seasons back, but these guys get away with it ?

So is that fine if we get a loophole for one race and then someone else finds out and then we backtrack, no crime eh ??

I can see Newey & Co singing like Steven Tyler "There's a hole in my floor(soul) and it's killing me forever "

Here is the catch. Teams can still protest against the victory of both Vettel and Webber anytime throughout the season.

Read this interesting article pitpass - Red Bull could still lose Monaco win

Cheers!

Re: 2012 F1 - Canadian Grand Prix

Last year, Schumacher and Button drove absolutely fantastic races at this very circuit.

If the race started in the wet *as it should have* Schumacher would have romped home to a superb victory.

I have a feeling, this is the race where 91 finally becomes 92 ! Mercedes will be strong at this circuit, I expect a pole from Michael / Nico and a drive to the win for Schumi !

Montreal to feature ONE DRS ZONE

Montreal to feature one DRS detection zone this weekend - F1 news - AUTOSPORT.com

There is no harm in Double DRS zone in a race. It should add to the fun to allow cars to overtake, thats what F1 should be na..?

I guess its a good thing.

Most cars need only one zone for passing. Last year, the overtaking car was using the second zone to pull further ahead after completing a pass in the first zone. A single DRS zone will keep it closer.

Looking forward to the race. Canada always give good racing. The only problem is the awkward timing. Hope the Pirellis hold up.

There are no double standards here. The McLaren case that you are bringing up is a totally different issue about espionage, nothing to do with legality of the car. Ferrari's F12007 which won in Australia was illegal too because it had movable floor which was banned later. They didn't lose any points for that.

These kind of different interpretation happens all the time, and teams don't lose points for that. Only a serious infringement or an attempt to cheat results in stripping of points or exclusion from races.
