It looked like Vettel had got back his 'wings', but my bets will be on Hamilton and Alonso, especially Lewis can maintain the mid-race pace very well. It could be another good qualifying session for SFI and possibly better race as well.

Dude, be careful what you wish for! We don't want a wet under-the-lights street circuit race with the likes of Grosjean and Maldanado around, do we? Although, slight rain is predicted for today and Race day.
Alonso will have to bring in all his aces to take the top step on Sunday, especially since it looks like he won't get the pole today. Will the prancing horses rule the lion country yet again?,Fingers crossed.

Hopefully our crash masters have learnt their lesson!
It should be all out Seb Vs LH. Look forward to it. A street circuit in the wet always produces unlikely results.. just like Olivier Panis's Monaco win in 1996. What a race that was.. only 4 cars finished!

Lewis on Pole with Maldonado and Vettel behind him.
Should we expect more crashes?

Good show by Lewis and Team McLaren. Though Jensen should be a bit worried to start right behind the jump start boy

I am expecting Vettel to do well here in Singapore. Pretty disappointing qualifying for both Mercedes drivers, and for Kimi as well.

Great performance by Lewis, looking to shave off tenths from every sector every time he goes out. Disappointed with Ferrari's performance, especially Massa despite the dagger hanging down on his neck. Excellent run by Force India duo, DiResta especially, Hulkenberg was just unlucky finishing out of Q3. I hope atleast one of them get a seat in a better car next year.
Still hoping for a podium for Fernando, can't wait for tomm!

Re: 2012 F1 - SINGTEL Singapore Grand Prix

Well well well, a very interesting grid position for tomorrow's race.
Maldonado has slotted himself into a great position and with his reputation and from past experience Hamilton will be very wary going into the first corner. This might play into the hands of Vettel and Alonso.
Singapore GP has a notorious past with safety car periods. With close calls like we saw in the free practice and qualifying, safety car will also play a crucial role in tomorrow's race results.
Here's hoping for another exciting race and not another procession of cars.
May the best driver with the best strategy win.

Re: 2012 F1 - SINGTEL Singapore Grand Prix

Lewis as expected was mega quick. Stonker of a lap from Pastor. Shame about Seb.

Should be a fascinating race with drivers already complaining about tire degradation which means a lot of overtaking in the last 10 laps. Weather certainly behaved itself though.

Re: 2012 F1 - SINGTEL Singapore Grand Prix

Great pole by Lewis!

But I am puzzled by the 1 second gap between cars from the same garage (RB & McL, Ferrari not being a suprise) and then there is a Williams which is a only half a second slower than the car on pole.

I will wait to see the number of tire changes the faster cars would require in the race.

Tire degradation will mix things up a lot in an otherwise boring Singapore GP!

Singapore GP gets another 5 years! Even though I hate the traffic deviations during the race weekend, happy that this unique race stays in the calendar.

Another catastrophic mechanical failure, Game over for Lewis. Feel sorry for him after putting out a spectacular performance this weekend. Damn, Vettel is going to take the top spot. Come on, Fernando podium please!

Was that a brake failure or age catching up with Schumi? Really disappointing :-(
