Re: 2012 F1 - Indian Grand Prix -Buddh International Circuit

Sorry for a little OT:For some reason I am so very impatient about this race. Need to know what to carry if I was going to the race in Picnic South Stand? Besides earplugs, cap/hat, towel?

I wouldnt want SFI to crash out. What wish is that? I want SFI to finish Podium in India! I think what ferrari is planning to do is what is right for their country. We should do something similar. But then again, I dont really appreciate bringing politics, however subtle, into sports of any sort.

Re: 2012 F1 - Indian Grand Prix -Buddh International Circuit

I dont get it.
What is the point of this, that ferrari is doing?
1. As far as i can see, the italians were not the wronged party.
2. You are doing this in the country with whom the issue is standing.

What, is this deliberate instigation?
I dont think this would be ignored, mallya or not.

I hope they distance themselves , even if just for the Indian GP.
Really would not like some opposition members preparing a GP Bandh, or some such.

A few years ago, Turkish GP organizers were hit with a huge penalty for inviting Turkish Cypriot PM (or some other person) for the awards function; mixing politics. How does FIA look into this act by Ferrari?

He cares less about the people anyway, protest of any sort would only be another publicity exercise for him. I was expecting him to be arrested before the IndianGP, like always money & power won over just in time for him to arrive.

What Ferrari has been doing is something totally political everything down to Luca and his aspirations in Italian politics, I wish the FIA does something about the scarlet cars in IndianGP!

How come my comment became StarrySky's comment?

Whoa, Awesome design that!! Wish I could get a design like that on my helmet.

I'm also rooting for Hamilton. I want him to finish his Mclaren career on a high.

Go Hami Go.....

Karthikeyan wanted to display Indian flag on his helmet during his first/second year in F1. He was not allowed to do that and he sold the space to advertisers :-(

Look at Lewis's helmet, he has Ashoka Chakra at the center. Appreciate his openness. With a mentor like Ross, he may become a better driver and a better human being, a good ambassador for F1.

I really like it not because I am a Hamilton fan but just the way it is done. The helmet says what Hamilton should follow for the next season.

Go Hamilton!

Karthikeyan certainly had a huge Ashoka chakra and the colours of the national flag on his helmet.

Oh alright did not know that.

Regarding the Ferrari Navy Flag issue, I strongly feel that the GP attendees should show atleast a token protest.

To refresh memories, two unarmed innocent fishermen were fired at and killed. And the Italian navy men were 'inconvenienced' as they were arrested following the incident.

How could the Indian govt try them when all they were accused of is MURDER. India is not a third world country where you think you can walk free after murder.

Sorry Italians, but there is a rule of law in this country.

Vettel fastest in first practice session. Button 2nd fastest while Alonso and Hamilton finishes 3rd and 4th respectively. Webber finished 5th with Rosberg finishing on an impressive 6th position.
