Damn good race, much better than most from the season.

Vettel might have won, however, I feel the real winner is Alonso. Man, what a push. The rest of the races will get really interesting.

That first corner move - what a move. The McLarens looked so silly like they were moving in slow-mo next to Alonso .

What a drive by Alonso !! Fantastic, he is the best driver right now in F1. Put vettel in the same situation, result would be different.

What a superb race for Alonso! He's got a very long cheer from the crowd.

Well, Vettel looks like he's unstoppable.
Alonso still in contention. Keeping fingers crossed.

Fantastic race. A great result for both Vettel and Alonso, who have reduced the championship to a duel.
Great drive by Alonso as usual to take 2nd from 5th, time and time again he proves his mettle. No wonder he is considered the best driver in the grid.
Shame to see Michael's race on his last Indian GP.

What a race!!!!
Really disappointing race for Michael, I was really hoping for a good session from him.

Superb driving from the Red Bulls as usual, and I loved all the superb overtaking in the long back straight. Damn those Ferraris are fast!!!

Ferrari 10 points ahead of McLaren in 2nd place
Alonso 13 points behind in 2nd place.
3 races to go.

Red Bull seem to have the momentum for the inevitable.

Re: 2012 F1 - Indian Grand Prix -Buddh International Circuit

One of the most exciting races this year, so many brilliant overtaking maneuvers and moves and a lot of punctures as well

Alonso has shown the thirst for this year's drivers championship but the pace of Red bulls is extraordinary, the way Alonso drove today, tons of respect for the man.

OT: Was funny to see the grid girls running away when champagne was being thrown around, indian tradition eh

What a fantastic Puncture filled race. I am just in love with our Indian circuit, I think if we add a little more to it, it would be The Best..

Shameful to see Mercedes AMG losing interest in the remaining of F1 races, Could see the frustration in Schumacher's face. He seems to

Nice to see Vettel very close on sealing the WDC this year

Re: 2012 F1 - Indian Grand Prix -Buddh International Circuit

Next year i am only going if there is some inkling of an McL win.
You guys are all so excited about what a great watch it was.
There was nothing there.
instead, there were about a 100 meerkats in front who constantly had to stand up every time a car came by to take pictures!!!
Couldn't follow the action on the screen, or on the circuit because of these guys.
It seems delhi/ncr has NOT had its fill of "been there, done that" experiencers!

And, then there wasnt the pot-of-gold satiation at the end of a win either, so......
Will be watching the HD recording later to see what happened.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Gran Prix on ESPN HD(Thank goodness, they didn't broadcast something else on it). Upcoming Abu Dhabi would be more interesting given WDC in hangs.

Vettel or Alonso?

This time you had tickets for picnic stand, was the experience even worse than the one with seated arrangement. Planning to go there next time, so thought of some advice from you as you have been there twice.

Picnic was actually better than the classic from last year.
In fact, yesterday, I was at the grandstand, and I still prefer the Picnic now.
You can REALLY stretch out!

Get there early, and in the south stand, get close to the extreme right, as close to the track and as close to the big screen. Fantastic.
Just take care to NOT have a lot of people in your line of sight to the track.

Great gritty drive by Alonso. He simply deserves more from the car come Saturday.

The way McLaren changed Hamilton's steering was amazing.

Here's Tooned: Strictly Bollywood

Love the music.

Just got back to Bombay after my first F1 experience. In one word, it was Fantastic. I was in the main grand stand (perhaps among the small number of idiots who paid full price from their own pockets), and the view of the Pit lane across the road, and the start finish straight was amazing. Since we were at the upper level, we could also see the cars whizzing through the undulating main straight beyond the paddock. I had heard a lot about the noise of the F1 engines - but nothing prepares you for the sound. After trying to brave it out without ear plugs on Qualifying day, I picked up the 3M ear plugs (which are very effective) for race day.

Despite the slight uncertainty voiced above, I stuck to supporting Alonso and Ferrari. And I was amply rewarded by the way he hunted down Webber. But I have to say that Vettel is in a class of his own - he was pulling away on every lap and clearly could have won the race with a further 20 second advantage over Alonso but for his playing it safe in view of the Championship situation. The only way Alonso can beat him now is if he ends up with terrible luck.

I have taken a number of close ups of the pits and tyre changes which I shall post when I get a chance. Overall the live F1 experience was fantastic - certainly the best Rs. 30k I have spent in a long time.

Re: 2012 F1 - Indian Grand Prix -Buddh International Circuit

People who were following the F1 race on Skysports were in for a treat. The show started with a 5 minutes segment on the races held in Sholavaram track in the yesteryear's. It was certainly a visual treat to see souped up cars, bikes and even F1 cars tearing along the concrete track in those days.
Until now I only had the privilege to see those races in pics, but watching the cars in action was simply a great experience.
Thanks Skysports.
