It could well be the first/last time we see Max Biaggi race in India. So Max fans better gear up to meet the roman emperor !

Was wondering why I haven't received info for marshaling duties. For F1, they begin trainings/selection procedure months in advance. Now I know. I guess with homogolation not complete, they don't have enough time to train the marshals for this event? Or maybe it's just politics.

Homologation inspections completed.

Get in touch with Sudev about the Marshall Training etc. Bear in mind the dates as well - F1 25/26/27 October and WSBK on 14/15/16/17 Nove (14th being an extra practice day for the new Circuit) - if you can take that much time off from whatever you do.

Marshalling - slightly different training/orientation required than F1 and hence there would be a few training sessions as well.

Best Regards & Drive/Ride Safe

Ram

Indian World Superbike round cancelled on safety grounds. Here is the article on this:
http://asia.eurosport.com/superbikes...56/story.shtml

So we are left with no option but to wait that such an event will happen in near future

@Mods: you may consider to close this thread as there will be not much addition made.

Tweet from Vicky Chandhok;
“@vickychandhok: The 2w WSBK for 2013&2014 will not happen in India!”

Formula 1 and now WSBK. Sad days for Motorsports fans in India!

Although for training marshals FMSCI races for 2 wheelers and 4 wheelers will be conducted at BIC this year is what has been cited.

Is it politics at play or is it really unsafe ?

Tilke designed tracks are good for car racing not so much for bikes, why? Got to underhand this from FIA officials. Dr. Tamas CoC Hungaroing says the intervention should be completed in 15 to 30 seconds in case of crash and driver checked within first 15 secs. Fencing along side barriers are not too great for this cause and the homologation has too be rethought for BIC but it is possible and they liked the infrastructure to support the races.

The sessions were comprehensive to say the least.

I think the cancellation is due to financial rather than any other aspect.

Possible can be various reasons indeed but all in all we as fans are at loss for the moment. I heard that the track was also reduced in KMs also to lower the number of turns from 16 to 13.
