Don't know about the paycheck from Ferrari but the status of his paycheck from Lotus has been clearly made public - "delayed/pending".

In such a situation, no one can blame him if he decides not to race. Professional attitude is not working for charity!

Yes, it's RedBull domination this year, but it's not like it's unprecedented and never been seen before.

Schumacher beat the runner-up to WCC in points in both 2002 and 2004. In 2004, the runner-up in WCC barely managed to beat the 2nd placed Rubens Barrichello. In 1988, both McLaren drivers beat the WCC runner-up comfortably in the points.

In all the above seasons, WDC #1 and #2 belonged to the same team that lifted the Constructors title.

This year, Webber is still at #5 in WDC.

Re: The 2013 Formula One Season

Not sure if this was posted here before. Apologies if it was. I just happened to stumble upon this piece of info from Jalopnik.

Red Bull broke their previous pit stop record of 2.05 seconds set at last April's Malaysian Grand Prix with a new 1.923 seconds record at the US Grand Prix, when Webber pulled into the pit. That's a first sub-2 second pit stop ever recorded in a race!

RB: What factors came together to allow you to break the record at the start of the season?

JW: It just came together: the guys were very confident going into the race; we had a good talk Saturday night about our targets; the crew were in good shape, and everyone just felt really positive about what they could achieve. We’ve done similar times since and it’s the same story: everyone felt good on the day.
Gone in 1.923 seconds - F1's fastest ever pitstop

Here's a fairly old video demonstrating their 2 second pitstop action in slow-mo:

What perfect choreography!

Its sort of ironic to see this video after the Brazilian GP.

Did RBR break any pit stop records on the other side of the spectrum during their goofed up pitstop in Brazil?

Drivers opinions on Vettel & Alonso after 2013.

http://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/f1...onso-question/

Its not a surprise that most of them think Alonso is the best even after 2s faster drives from Vettel, its only Daniel who thinks otherwise

The title of the report is misleading. Vast majority of the driver favor Alonso.

I started following F1 in 2004, Schumi was the champion in that year. But somehow I felt Alonso to be my fav driver over the years, inspite of McLaren saga, crashgate saga, lack of championships, etc.

Re: The 2013 Formula One Season

Just noticed another interesting and insulting statistic about the dismal performance of McLaren who managed the 5th place in the constructors.

7 out of 8 cars belonging to top 4 constructors scored more points individually than what the McLaren managed with both the drivers together.

Massa is the only driver from top 4 to score less than McLaren's total points which should be taken as clear incompetence on Massa's part.

Barring Mercedez, the gap between team mates on RBR,Ferrari and Lotus is so glaring
