Call it the 10 year addiction withdrawal, but I miss Slater. He used to get so excited, and yes, he did pull some bloopers, but in hindsight, it feels balanced by his shouting.
"THE FIVE RED LIGHTS ILLUMINATE, AND.... "
Probably just me.

Re: 2013 F1 - Bahrain Grand Prix

FP1 done with and the Ferrari boys are on top. Felipe leads Fernando.

Nico is in 3rd and Vettel 4th.

Edit: I don't miss Slater. And I am glad that Brundle is on my TV.

Re: 2013 F1 - Bahrain Grand Prix

Did Hamilton know something when he switched to Mercedes.
Nice to see both Force Indias in Q3. Hope they can maintain that through the year.

Re: 2013 F1 - Bahrain Grand Prix

Surprised to see Raikkonen qualify 9th after looking quick in the practice sessions. Mercedes is proving to extremely quick over 1 lap, great job from Rosberg. I think the front row would be worried about the Ferraris behind them. Massa is on the hard tyres as well, so we will have to see how it goes tomorrow.

Re: 2013 F1 - Bahrain Grand Prix

Good lap by Nico. I reckon he would be out of contention for lead right at the end of the first corner. I seriously doubt the longevity of those soft tyres on vettels red bull. I think he would be the first guy to pit tomorrow.
The 2013 Bahrain Gp has got Fernando written all over it. I am interested to know how the two FI's would perform tomorrow.

I really do not want to see the crybaby vettel on the podium tomorrow at the end of the race. I will keep an eye on Lewis though one cannot rule him out

Re: 2013 F1 - Bahrain Grand Prix

Heading for another cracker of a race. I expect Vettel to be quick, he was actually faster than Alonso in China if you compare stint times. His third stint being 6 tenths quicker per lap over his 18 lap stint. Ferrari seem better suited to the Primes and it will be interesting to see how Alonso vs Massa pans out.

Re: 2013 F1 - Bahrain Grand Prix

Red bulls seems to be strong, Ferrari guys are doing good too. I expect vettel to take lead from first corner onward, Want to see him on the podium tomorrow. Quite shocked to see kimi finishing at 9th place, He was doing really good in practice sessions.

Go Vettel Go

Vettel wins Bahrain GP! Kimi 2nd and Grosjean 3rd, do Resta 4th , Hamilton 5th, Perez 6th, Webber 7th, Alonso 8th, Rosberg 9th and Button 10th.

Pretty good race, not the most exciting ever, but not dull either. Some fantastic racing in the final few laps.

Re: 2013 F1 - Bahrain Grand Prix

1) Vettel
2) Kimi
3) Grosjean
4) Di Riesta

Top 3 being a repeat of last year. What a race it has been today, probably a race with most number of overtaking seen.

Di Rista deserved the 3rd, sad luck for having such a good race for him today. Roseberg fades away from P1, looks like Mercedes have not gone anywhere since the time they came. Hamilton doing great.

Nice to see Force India move up in the constructors table ahead of Mclaren Mercedes.
