Finally, the weekend is here, after a long break

With vettel winning 2 races out of 4 so far, I hope this time he makes it 3 on 5. Go my boy go!

Cheers,
Sameer

Re: 2013 F1- Spanish Grand Prix

Hoping for a Prancing Horse Victory.
Really want Alonso to get the 1st place followed by Raikkonen and Hamilton.

Alonso will have to win quite a number of races now to be in the title race or it will be an easy title victory for Vettel(possible, even with some races to spare ) which I would never want to see!!

Go Alonso GO!!

Race weekend. Finally! And European journey starts.

Apparently McLaren has made so many changes to MP4-28 that it will look visibly different in Spain.

And Ferrari simply cannot afford to slip up anymore.

Re: 2013 F1- Spanish Grand Prix

It seem it was a long wait before F1 returns to European. Would love to see Ferrari and Mercedes overtaking the Red bulls. Would love to see some one really challange Vettel and Knock him out of the Podium postion. Would be a great site to see Alonos,Kimi and Lewis on the podium and in that way would not have to the Finger of Vettel.

Re: 2013 F1- Spanish Grand Prix

The weather does not seem to be holding up for the first P at Barcelona today. Alonso was the quickest which should have brought huge cheers as he is the home favorite. Ferrari 1-2 in the first P.

Apparently, McLaren has used this 3 week break to modify the MP4-28 heavily and the car is expected to look different. Most teams have brought in significant upgrades and if the weather continues to be the way it is now for P 2 then we could have to wait until tomorrow to really see the noticeable differences, if any.

Re: 2013 F1- Spanish Grand Prix

Going by what happened in P 2 where Vettel edged out Alonso, only just could be an early indication of what might be a tight qualifying session today.

I am expecting Red Bull and Ferrari to take up the front row by the time Q is over.

McLaren though are still way off the mark and they are expecting a couple of modifications which would come their way before Q. All in all it seems season over for McLaren.

I will be very surprised if McLaren is able to bag even one podium this season.
I mean just look at them, the Saubers and FIs have a much better chance at finishing on the podium.

As I had feared at the start of the season, Perez isn't turning out to be quite a race winning driver in place of Hamilton.

Both Williams, Caterhams and Marussias out of Q1.
What a difference a year made for Williams, pole last year and out of Q1 this year.

Final Top 10:
1 Rosberg
2 Hamilton
3 Vettel
4 Räikkonen
5 Alonso
6 Massa
7 Grosjean
8 Webber
9 Perez
10 di Resta

Mercedes getting a hat-trick of poles for the first time since 1955 Let's see if they can continue this in the race.

Re: 2013 F1- Spanish Grand Prix

What a show !! What a show by the Mercedes duo!

Especially Hamilton's final lap in Q2. When he was just about to get below the top 10 , *zoom* and finishes 1st!!

Would have been much happier if the starting grid would have been taken by the Ferraris.

Fantastic qualifying session for Mercedes! Although their race pace on Sunday remains to be seen. With Vettel and Kimi lining up in the second row, and the Ferraris right behind them, I think we are in for a good race tomorrow!
