2013 F1 - MAGYAR NAGYDÍJ @ Hungary

So MAGYAR NAGYDÍJ means HUNGARIAN GRANDPRIX ( Why this Kolaveri tongue twister)

This circuit is supposed to be tough on overtaking - so does it mean we will get to watch yet another boring race... Though this circuit with 16 turns of bumpy and dusty drive is approached this weekend, it'll be left to watch how the tire degradation is managed.

No predictions from my side as this season is much more sillier than the last one and i feel i am losing a little interest in F1 the way its going.

Thanks Mr. Kadam!
Race day temperature predicted to be an insane 40C according to twitter feed! I wonder how miserable Mercedes will be & on the flip side how good can Lotus be?
Christian Horner says this track won't play into their strengths and Ferrari perhaps may come out on top.
Looking forward to FI having a strong race, McLaren is closing in.

I expect Hungary to be a battle between Merc and the Bulls.. for quali and till the 1st round of pitstops at the race. Post that i'm hoping Ferrari and Lotus come into the fray. Ferrari are coming very close to writing off the WDC.

Yes, I'm afraid. I had such high expectations for them with Alonso behind the wheel after the first race as the Ferrari wasn't that bad a car like last years but they seem to have simply gone backwards or well at least not forwards in development as much as the other top guys.
If the points deficit isn't closed up significantly before the summer break I think the chances of ALO competing for the WDC seem improbable. For some reason, even though the Lotus is competitive, I don't feel like it has given a proper(all round) challenging car for Kimi to compete in.

Vettel and Red Bulls are on top ones again in FP1 hamilton 13. IN FP 2 again Red Bulls at the top but quite a remarkable improvement by Hamilton to 6. Lets see how Hamilton will Improve in FP3. and Finally lets see who will start from Pole.

Oh donot want to see that Finger in this race.

FP3 just finished.

Grosjean looking mighty fast, along with Alonso.

Red Bulls and Mercedes looked a bit slow, but they could very easily have been running a bit more fuel or could have encountered traffic on the lap.

McLaren seems to have improved a bit, with Perez ending the session with 3rd and a crash!

We're in for an interesting quali and race I think.

Re: 2013 F1 - MAGYAR NAGYDÍJ @ Hungary

YAY..Vettel is a sandwich between Hamilton and Grosjean.

Hopefully Grosjean takes out Vettel during the start of the race.

During this qualifying...it suddenly dawned upon me how pathetic the Force India cars are in
corners. It seems the VJM06 cannot do much in non-straights. The way the last turn, as well as the kink was being attacked by Sutil and DiResta showed how almost front-wingless the car is.

It seems the best of FI is over this season...except for tracks with high avg speeds.

Webber misses out again! I think Martin Brundle did have a point, the repeated failures on his car as compard to Seb's could be a packaging issue due to his size.

Merc on pole is no surprise. Given the nature of the track, he is on the favorable side and should see him hold P1 into Turn 1. That will bunch everyone up and strategy will be key. Alonso and Kimi should be the quickest men on track if they have a bit of clear air and hot sun!

Properly exciting qualifying today!

Did not expect Hamilton to be on pole seeing Mercedes' struggles in practice.

Grosjean was impressive all weekend, consistently faster than Kimi, so no surprises seeing him in 3rd. Also, he is on the clean side of the grid, so, it is entirely possible that he could jump Vettel at the start

Mercedes' tires are as always unpredictable.

I think we're in for an exciting race.

Now i can predict the top 3 finishers. Mercedes are so happy to have qualified in these positions, but only to hand over the reigns to the field below

I see

P1 - Vettel
P2 - Kimi
P3 - Alonso

Mercs will be in Top 10

Though i missed the qualifying which i'll watch later anyways. I am pretty sure it'll be vettels race, hamilton won't be able to hold the lead for long.

All cheers for vettel, go vettel go

Re: 2013 F1 - MAGYAR NAGYDÍJ @ Hungary

Martin Brundle just ran a temperature check on the track a few mins ago. It read 48C!.
I don't think FI should have issues getting temperature into their tyres this time around : P. I'm really looking forward to this race now, I wonder how many pit stops will we being seeing, 4 mostly?

What an absolutely fantastic race!!

Beautiful drive from Hamilton, Kimi and Vettel.

I would think Vettel would have won the race 8f he was not stuck behind Button for 12 laps. But it was brilliant defending from Button. I think I am going to call him Troll Button from now .

The amount of different strategies was also very refreshing and very nice to see.

All in all, an exciting race, and hopefully the following races are just as good.

Have Ferrari and Alonso given up the Championship hopes ?
Vettel is just getting stronger with the points lead, man I hate it
Great driving by Lewis and Kimi out there..
