hamilton is still too young for F1..
he needs a full yr of testing atleast
so no chance of him landing the F1 seat at mclaren

if kimi leaves.. they havent got too many other options

Kimi was too young for F1 - so they said.
He had waaaay less experience than Hamliton, Just a total of 26 single seater races in his lifetime, in all categories, the highes of which was formula renault.
He had to drive under a 4 race probation period from the FIA (read max moseley who was highy unhappy about Sauber fielding him as a driver)

Hamilton is racing in GP2, a series created as the primary stepping stone to F1
What will decide hamiltons future is Kimi's decision.

Secondly Dennis may place him in a lesser team for his first year, ala what Briatore did with fernando alonso & Mark webber in Minardi

Montoya out of F1 as of NOW!!!!!

thassrite folks
You heard me correctly.
Crazy Monty is outta F1 pronto
PDLR will be raplacing him starting from the french grand prix in Mangy Cours

Now that is a shocker and surprise for me
I never really expected that he would be out before the season ended. Thats crazy,
In a way its a good move By maclaren, why run a guy with no more motivation
PDLR has been testing the car for ages and is familiar with it
so a better chance of some results there,
Plus they will save on spare parts and chassis!!!

whike its supposedly by mutual consent it more like he was

oh! man that is good news. The minute I heard about Monty news I was hoping some good sense will prevail in the McLaren camp and they would give Pedro the chance to show some good driving.

BTW, no matter who is driving where next year, Ferrari is going to have the biggest advantage...tyres. So Schumi might just want to make it Eight titles with that advantage before he calls it a day!

So kimi got to hangon for another season atleast....

Good for montoya, he needed a good team to prove himself, guess Mclare has lost it right now, would have loved to see Montoya and Jaques in the same team, the team principal would have pulled his hair out I guess

kimi is unique..
and every driver needs an introductory yr in F1..
kimi had his with sauber.. hamilton hasnt had any running in an F1 car..
and mclaren cant afford to train him while trying to win the championship
sauber never had that goal

unless mercedes supplies engines to a lesser team to secure a seat for him..
i think it'l be a year of testing..

not too suprised by montoya leaving immediately..
he's clearly said he's not enjoying F1
pedro is a good temporary solution.. he knows the mp4-21 like no one else..
and mclaren need his stability, reliability and him as a consistent race finisher
lets see how much down on speed he is on kimi

Slightly OT here--

Ermmm, not every driver
and i can name a few
Jaques Villenueve- almost won his first race
Damon Hill, had a pretty damn good first year with williams
Ditto for David Coulthard- victory in his first year
Michael Schumacher - darn good first year

The point is- while hamilton is young, He is Leading the GP2 series
The top 2 GP2 guys from Last year are alredy in F1- Nico Rosberg (hardly anyone had heard of him or gave him a chance) & Heikki Kovalienen- currentsly renaults tester and likely to gill the 2nd seat if Kimi doesnt go there

The question is, does ron dennis risk pairing a rookie like him with Alonso and hope that it doesnt destroy hamiltons confidence??
or stick him in another team

Simply saying Kimi is unique- and using that argument to dismiss the possibility of Hamilton getting a seat is not really backing up your argument

The possibility of Hamilton landing a race seat for next year is far greater than the possibility of any other F1 rookie apart from Kovalienen.
The guys in line for a possible drive are Gary Paffet, Wurtz??, Hamilton, Kovalienen

Whatever!
JPM was counted amongst the top10 drivers of 2006! Ain't it good? Yes, he was better than M.Schumacher!
Atleast, he does'nt cheat!
Bon Voyage Montoya! We'll miss you.

yeah right, so Juanita made to the top 10 of 2006....wow.
Lets see, hmm, get rid of the super aguris, the midlands, torro rosso's & a little discount to the red bulls, thats should be 8 drivers out of 20 removed... How hard is it to be in the top 10 with a maclaren after that??

Errr, one M schumacher still has a job, in fact last i heard, in case he leaves ferrari, every pit boss is lined up to offer him one- Incl Frankie williams- who HATES to pay top dollars for a driver & renault.

Better than M Schu.. Well thats what he was shouting from the rooftops when he came into F1, He joined F1 10 years after the Schu & has been dropped Mid season (Ala Michael andretti in 1993) while schuey is still in the game. oh and the score is 83-7 in schumachers favour -and thats only wins we are talking about

While i will wholly agree the One Problem Montoya is a bloody talented driver, he never bothered backing up that talent with some thinking and hard work

Look how he suffered post Ralf Schumachers departure from Williams- why, coz in the previous year whenever he couldnt find setup, they would give him ralf's setting. Montys tech feedback sucks, Look at the way Maclaren are struggling, they arent getting good tech Feedback from both drivers

Entertaining - Yes, Good to watch yes (sometime for comdey as well)
better than Michael
Hell he could barely better ralf and Kimi is hammering him. Let him beat his team mate first and get to the front to start with

Maybe McLaren should just stick to Pedro for the next season. He has spent enough time in the car, has had racing experience and whats more important will be his ability to give good technical feedback from the race also. Alonso has been praised for this ability to provide useful info to the engineers and having two drivers with the right ability can prove very useful for McLaren. So prepare Paffet and Hamilton for the 2008 season and use Alonso and Pedro to improve the car.... they'll need this experience as they are going to be running new rubber next season!!
