That was a phenomenal lap by Lorenzo! After Marquez's lap, I thought it was unbeatable. To better it by half a second is mind boggling to say the least. Nevertheless as someone said, there are no points for pole position and he has his task cut out for Sunday.

Andrea Iannone, one rider (apart from Marc and Dani) who could probably trouble Lorenzo is down in 7th place. Awesome ride by Aleix to place the Suzuki on 4th. However, Suzuki's lack of horsepower affects it's starts and you can expect him to lose a place or two.

It looks all the more difficult for Rossi now. There seems to be no intervention by weather either with the forecast showing slightly cooler temperatures but no rain. Cooler weather can mean that Hondas can perform better than they did today. Also, it makes the track a bit more tricky and can catch a rider or two in the first two laps when the tyres are cool. The best hope for Rossi is if Lorenzo has a bad moment or a crash. Possible, but a long shot.

Moto3 was no short of drama today!
Danny Kent just sbout takes the Championship but his team mate Hiroki Ono could have cost him the title!
Ono defied team orders to keep fighting Kent till the last corner and even overtaking him. The pit wall was waving frantically asking him to back off and even Kent was, but Ono was not willing to back down.
Yes, Kent only had to finish 14th to lift the title but with Oliveira winning the race, Kent would have lost out had Ono taken him down being so aggresive.
But luckily no such thing happened.

Rossi's road to 9 titles, brings back a flood of memories.

Feel lucky to have witnessed almost all of it live on TV and also the post race celebrations!

Man he is lonely in 4th though. 3rd is Damn far ahead. Gap constant.

But gosh, what a climb through the field. He's riding like a man possessed.

Lorenzo keeping it clean and tight. But only 0.5 ahead of no. 2. Too close.....yet so consistent.

I think Mark will take the lead

Looks like Rossi has to be contend with 4th place and lorez winning the title , would have been sweet to see Rossi winning the title . great ride by the doctor

Pedrosa is too far ahead. Too tough now, unless both Hondas overtake that Yamaha in P1.

What a race! Take a bow Vale! You gave it everything. It was amazing how the crowd went bonkers with each move Rossi made. I did wonder whether it was Spain.

Pedrosa gave that faintest bit of hope. Anyways, it was not meant to be.

Kudos to the winner, he didn't put one wheel wrong throughout.

But what a ride from VR and pedrosa.
Heart breaking.

What a ride from Pedrosa to bring down that 2.5s gap!

Superb ride from Rossi to charge through the field right from the word go. And what a response to him in the garage! Looks like the elusive 10th world title will continue to elude him.

And Rossi gets a bigger cheer than Lorenzo riding back into the pits. I am confused! This is Spain, not Italy, right? Lorenzo won the race and the championship, not Rossi, right?
