Re: The 2015 MotoGP Thread

It took the absolute mercurial genius of Valentino Rossi to overpower the massive horsepower of Ducati! What.a.race!!!

Ducatis are well and truly back, ok? There is absolutely no second thoughts about it. I expected Lorenzo to hold fort at 3rd place, but eventually lost pace!

Dovi could be miles back in the last corner behind the Yamahas, yet could enter turn-1 with great authority beating Yamahas. Going to be very very tough season for Honda and Yamaha.

Feel bad for Marquez though... fell behind the entire grid, and yet rode like a champion should, and finished 5th. Sparing a thought for Pedrosa too. Kudos to him too.

Re: The 2015 MotoGP Thread

What a breathtaking race! So wonderful to see The Doctor back on top.

Glad to see the Italians rediscover some form, in both F1 and MotoGP.

Ducati have surely re emerged and will give the two Japanese heavyweights a run for their money.

Re: The 2015 MotoGP Thread

I don't remember the last time I saw three Italians on the podium in the primier class.
What a clinical performance THE DOCTOR. Whoa, Ducati's have some serious pace. They just blow past you and you feel nothing but helpless. Had Dovi been slightly closer, who knows what the result might have been.

First, a Ferrari wins on merit over the mighty Mercedes and then Rossi pulls a blinder on the faster Dukes! What a racing weekend! Simply Wow!

Re: The 2015 MotoGP Thread

Nice race! Watched Moto3 and was thinking nothing could beat it but wow, the main MotoGP race was a nice one!

Some serious pace from the Ducatis. Good to see them in the race. Marquez rode like a champ to come back from all the way down in the field.

Good race and I'd love to see the Ducatis win the next time. Honda second.

Re: The 2015 MotoGP Thread

Did anyone watch the moto3 race? Fabio Quartararo, for whom rules were changed to allow him race at age of 15 put up a very strong performance against more experienced riders (Race winner Masbou is 27), in fact he was leading the pack with 2 laps left. People are calling him the "Next Big Thing" and

Yes and Francesco Bagnaia (Mapfre Mahindra Aspar Team) also had a good race. He might have finished in the podium maybe if he hadn't run off into the astro-turf in the last lap.

Re: The 2015 MotoGP Thread

The Ducati advantage will be short lived. They just need to win a couple of races and all restrictions will come into play but untill then I cant wait for the next race, 3 way fight now!! Go Rossi, Go Marcuez

FIM aren't waiting for Ducati wins .
Its official: Duactis will be restricted to 22 liters of race fuel effective immediately.(Down from 24).

Crash.net reports that "however the loss of two litres of fuel is not expected to have any tangible impact since Ducati claim they have not been using more than 22 litres anyway. 22 litres is also the new limit for all competitors in 2016". Wasn't this also a concession that was given Ducati since they didn't have any wins in 2013?

If there is some conspiracy theory here, I am missing it. No offense.

Re: The 2015 MotoGP Thread

Andrea Dovizioso is one of the hardest guy to pass. And thanks to both, Andrea & Rossi for putting up a show.

Sitting all curled up, in foetal position, fingers crossed & watching one of the best Moto GP races.

Ducati will be regular in the podium to top 8 slot, as the next races have tracks which are more flowy (corners) and have less top-speed parameter coming into play.

Re: The 2015 MotoGP Thread

Pedrosa looks to be in trouble after just 1 race into the new season.

He has been suffering from "Arm Pump". A condition that plagues motorcycle riders, more so professional racers. The riders usually huge forearms and in the case of arm pump, the forearm becomes bigger than the container that holds it, thus causing a lot of pain while riding. Pedrosa underwent a surgery last year to fix the issue, but looks like it didn't work.

Hope he pulls through. What a great rider.

He will miss at least the next 2 races after undergoing a surgery last week. Meanwhile lot of speculations stating Casey Stoner will replace him at team honda for these 2 races.
But Stoner himself tweeted this "Sorry to everyone but I am not racing @circuitamericas next weekend, it would have been an honour to ride for @26_DaniPedrosa".
Team Honda have stated his lack of recent experience in competitive racing as the reason for not letting him replace Dani.
