Re: 2015 Malaysian GP - Sepang International Circuit - Race Thread

Other than the bad luck for Kimi, it was an decent qualifying considering the current pecking order.

However, FIA's greed is evident in the scheduling when you know that it would rain in the evening and it is clear in mornings. They are more worried about the TV viewership in Europe and hence wouldn't prepone the qualifying and race by a couple of hours to minimize rain impact!

Re: 2015 Malaysian GP - Sepang International Circuit - Race Thread

Superb Qualifying session!

Between the Mercedes, Hamilton has proved once again that he is one of the best talents and Rosberg, just an average driver in a very fast car. The Ferrari being so close to the Mercedes was the real surprise. Kimi's lap was terrible in Q and I hope he could fight his way through to the front runners in the race tomorrow.

Its going to be battle royal between Ferrari & Mercedes from when the european races begin. Ferrari will be bringing a bigger turbo and engine upgrade thats being used in the Sauber! This is going to be a classic season

And you complain about FIA's greed?

That said, I will be more than happy if it rains! Makes for a far more exciting race.

Also, anyone visited the Formula1 website lately? The new website is nauseating. I end up running around in circles while looking for the results of Qualifying, FPs, etc. Totally unlike the previous website which was far more easy to navigate around. Ditto with the new MotoGP website, which also starts tomorrow!

What a jam packed schedule, World Cup Final, F1 and MotoGP, all on the same day! All that's missing is a Grand Slam final!

Even the local time converter is not fully reliable. They listed the qualifying to start at 3:30PM, though it actually started at 2:30 PM IST

I think I missed that news. Does the Sauber have an upgrade that Ferrari doesn't carry?

Yes! I thought I was the only one who found it unnecessarily complex!

Zen could you please tell me where is the local time conversion listed? It was very convenient at its older spot at the right hand side on the home page.
That's the only reason I visited F1.com, for the local times.

Scroll down on the home page and you'll see a horizontal frame with all the flags (for each race) and the upcoming race would be expanded. Beware, the timing is not always correct. Better to refer to race local time and convert yourself.

Rosberg's wish came true . Too early but still.

EDIT: Wow, really nice race. Hope you guys are watching. Ferrari has really made a jump with their pace.

All set for a Ferrari win. Vettel sings "Blue flag, Blue flag" as he passes back markers.

Both Toro Rosso ahead of Redbull . I want to see Horner's face now. Equalisation still, eh? Better pull out of F1.

Edit: Vettel lapping both Redbull.

I became bit emotional there, same colour, same national anthem. Forza Micheal.

Ferrari!

Awesome, awesome drive from Vettel to convincingly beat the Silver Arrows.

Good drive from Kimi to get to P4 from the middle of the grid.

Feel sad for Alonso and Button. What a disastrous start to McLaren-Honda.

Yeah, he wins it ! Ferrari had shear pace today. Well played played, good strategy. Elated after seeing Ferrari again on top.

Although I can't stand the radio conversation when Vettel wins a race and mute the speaker, I can't help but be happy that he is getting Ferrari back on top.
Missed half the race because of the brilliant transmission that I have, saw the last couple of laps and I am sure this season is going to be a good one with lot of scraps,

Re: 2015 Malaysian GP - Sepang International Circuit - Race Thread

Ferrari sticking with their guts to stay out during safety car, Vettel doing a flawless race to take the top step away from the Mercedes, Kimi starting from P11, dropping to the back of the grid due to the puncture and coming through the grid to take back that P4 - I don't think they couldn't have expected more from this weekend! Great drive from both the drivers. It was Ferrari's day today. Period!

It was amusing to see the same Malaysian crowd that started the boos for Vettel cheering for him today. Above all, it was funny to see Rosberg eating his words, which Eddie Jordan reminded him again during the podium interviews.

Fernando Alonso can probably walk down to the Red Bull garage today. That is probably the only place where he would find someone sharing his true feelings about today!

Re: 2015 Malaysian GP - Sepang International Circuit - Race Thread

What a great race weekend!

Super win by Ferrari and Finger boy today. The sweltering heat and that untimely first stop did Mercedes in today. Else, we would have seen some close fights on the track.

The cold conditions of China will put Mercedes back on top, but we got a brilliant season waiting. Stellar job by the Italian team over the winter.
