Re: 2015 Chinese GP - Shanghai International Circuit - Race Thread

Vettel seems to have Kimi covered mainly due to his superiority in Qualifying. Kimi was never a good qualifier. Kimi needs to find that extra on Saturday if he has to finish above Vettel.

Bernie's push for V8's with 1000BHP is up again. Cant see this happen until 2019 as the teams are going to go mental and start the ole breakaway series talk again. A lot of the heavy expenditure has to be attributed to Bernie. To make things worse, he is also a bit of a shylock when it comes to sharing the revenue. Time for a fresh re-think in that part of the business too I would say.

Right on cue...
Kimi Raikkonen led a Ferrari 1-2 in a mixed-up opening practice session for the Bahrain GP on Friday.

The Finn set the pace with a 1:37.827 lap around the 5.412km track, with Sebastian Vettel recovering from an engine problem to end up 0.202s slower.

However, it’s likely the timesheet bore little relation to how it might appear later in the weekend because the conditions bore little relation to those expected for qualifying and the race.
