Re: The 2016 MotoGP Thread

Pathetic service by Ten Network.
Great ride by Crutchlow and Rossi! Also commendable by Marquez who was on the softer ones, while the other two were on better harder options!

Wet races are always entertaining and unpredictable. Fantastic charge by CAL from the back of the grid. Good job by Rossi and Marquez, hard fought podiums for both of them. Lorenzo should stop contesting in wet races, it's hard to believe such struggle in wet conditions for triple world champion.
And a big thumb's down for Ten networks for stopping the transmission just before the lights went green.

And who was the villain in this race? Ten Sports. Had missed a couple of races since past few weeks, didn't wish to miss this one but Ten sports made sure to ruin my happiness

Re: The 2016 MotoGP Thread

All credit to Cal Crutchlow for a brilliant ride today.

But no credit for his attitude.

At Sachsenring, he came second and said no one else had the cojones to be on the same strategy like him. Today, he comes first and calls everyone else wimps.

Re: The 2016 MotoGP Thread

Seriously no words for Ten network's stupidity today - what were they thinking swapping the broadcast just before the lights went out? They were not even showing any LIVE event, just highlights everywhere.

Superb ride by Cal today, 3rd time we've had a first time winner this season.

Amazing ride by Rossi as well, coming up from way down in 12th to run past everyone with precision.

And, JLO - The "world champion" who needs a very, very, very particular set of circumstances and weather conditions to ride like a "champion" is no champion in my book at least.

I've honestly never seen a top level rider struggle so much in wet weather in a single season. And to top it all, the way he was holding up guys fighting for third in the final laps despite being a lap down himself was disgusting.

Go VR46, the gap to Marc is pretty big but never say never, especially in this unpredictable season.

Re: The 2016 MotoGP Thread

What a race! Deserving win for Crutchlow - guess Jack Miller passed on his luck to former teammate!

Everyone expected the track to dry pretty soon, but it didn't. Marquez chose soft front hoping to do half the race in wet tyres and then switch to slicks? Hard front was never going to work for Yamahas anyway. Wise decision by Rossi to choose hard rear.

Lorenzo's desperate switch to Slicks hoping to do "Marquez in Sachsenring" bombed, and had to switch bikes second time and got lapped. I think this is the first time in his career for him to have got lapped in a race. Not good for him.

Did anybody see Iannone's front tyre after the race? How could he even ride that Duc with only half the tyre left (literally) and finish 8th!!

3 new winners in 4 races! Good times.

Cheers

Here is a photo of the same. I was bit surprised when Rossi struggled in the beginning of the race, but knew he will come back during the later part of the race because he was on the harder rear tyre.

Lorenzo was lapping as fast as Rossi before his pit stop, had he not pitted, I think he would have finished in top 6.
