Ferrari actually sells off many of their F1 cars that are more than 5 something years old. Comes with a huge kit of spares and some tech help by the hour if needed.

The fine print is, he has to keep it, even if he crashes the car.

WOW!!! It's just a great gift.
Man!!! what can be better to remember his wonderful career than having his last driven car???
Really love the way Ferrari has chosen the parting gift. They were always better in gifting their drivers.

I am impressed Ferrari. Only grump here is; why dont you gift similar things to us also??

I'd say its a pretty good gesture from Ferrari's behalf. Can you imagine the amount of money they coulda made by selling the last F1 car Michael Schumacher ever drove? instead, they decided to let Michael have it. Pretty sure Michael will cherish the car more than if he had got just money or even a life-time supply of Ferraris.

one of the best gifts somebody can imagine. though i m sure they will allow schumi to keep this at either fiorano or marenello so that he can live his good old days whenever he wishes.

that's the best gift he can get as to store his memories.
Every one shouldadmit he is a world class F1 driver and we should respect for his great achievement.

Actually! These companies should think twice before giving these gifts. First poor guy loses out on a skyscraping pay packet. And then this? My word, a watch would have made such a nice retirement gift.
Shumi is going to earn about $26 million in 2007 !
