Re: The 2018 MotoGP Championship

Can't wait for the season to begin - I'm watching at least a couple of races this year.

Request: As we do for F1, please create a new thread for each MotoGP race. That brings some amazing discussions, and MotoGP is as exciting as F1 (if not more).

Thanks!

Re: The 2018 MotoGP Championship

While I voted for MM, my heart wants VR to take one last championship.....Lets see. I wouldn't be surprised if a win comes to one of the rookies this year, there are some good names there...

Thanks!

I second that!
BTW, MotoGP is atleast a gazillion times more exciting than Formula1. The number of overtakes and overall action in just the opening laps of one MotoGP race is more than what happens in one full season of F1!
As a matter of fact, even FormulaE is way more exciting than F1.

P.S: I love F1.

Re: The 2018 MotoGP Championship

Interesting read on the problems at YAMAHA:
https://www.motorsportmagazine.com/o...s-going-yamaha

Also, just in. Tech 3 end it's partnership with YAMAHA from 2019 season onwards. I see this could be due to the friction internally. Zarco is flying through the test charts whereas MV and VR are struggling. Something might have triggered this for sure.

Time should give us a clear picture. I feel sorry for Yamaha though.

Re: The 2018 MotoGP Championship

Seems Yamaha have been caught complacent thinking M1 is a well rounded package. The bike has gone from being most adapt to conditions to most sensitive to conditions.

To complicate the matters further, KTM has taken Tech3 also from Yamaha (guess it was long time coming since Yamaha never treated Tech3 at par with other satellite teams being supported by Honda/Ducati, and Herve was a frustrated gentleman).

Yamaha's long term planning needs a rethinking, and so does Vinales. All that he wants is to always top the time charts, and if it does not happen he doesn't know why it has not happened. From the outside, I cannot see any method to his working. Someone needs to show him Marc/Zarco as example of how to extract maximum with what you have.

Just noticed that the quality gets horribly compromised after compression during uploading so I split it into three.

Re: The 2018 MotoGP Championship

The first picture of Ducati, especially of Andrea's bike appears as an ADV, appears a bit too raised. An Indianised Moto-GP bike

Hey, you should try Team Moto app (Playstore link) instead.

I have been using for the last 4 seasons now and it's really good. You can export the race dates timings to your phone calendar (Don't have to keep the images ). You can add Free Practice and qualifying sessions to your calendar as well. There's rider info, track records, previous season results and news of the current season which is mostly sourced from Crash.net.

Re: The 2018 MotoGP Championship

Looks all set to be a cracker of a season. GO VR 46!!

I'm currently planning, and at this stage only planning, to fulfill a long standing dream and maybe try to attend the Thailand race in person on Oct 7th. Do any of the members here want to join in so that we can more easily plan the logistics etc. Would be the experience of a lifetime.

Either which way, hope to see the DOCTOR lift his 10th title this season, Yamaha troubles not withstanding.

Cheers,
Parth

Couldn't find it on the Apple App Store!
Plus internet availability is a problem sometimes, specially with Airtel acting weird off-late!
So I will stick to my old school way.

Just before the on track action begins, Rossi has inked 2 years deal to stay with Yamaha for 2019 and 2020.

Re: The 2018 MotoGP Championship

Bhakts भक्त are crying for what Marquez did to Rossi in Argentina but this is what Rossi had done, he is only getting the taste of his own poison.
