24 Hours of Le Mans, 2018

Finally, Toyota have won Le Mans! They had a bit of a scare with around 1hr 30mins remaining when the no. 7 car of Kobayashi suddenly appeared to be driving in Limp-home mode. It had to complete almost 75% of the lap at 80kph. Turned out that they had "forgotten to put enough fuel in", weirdly. After a quick refuel it was back racing.

Alonso now has completed 2/3rd of the Triple Crown. Just needs to win Indy now. He really needed this win, after all the trials and tribulations with Mclaren Honda last few seasons.

The GTE-Pro class was well fought I think, some good battles there with the Porsches and Fords. Made it a bit more interesting.

After being robbed of victory last year, a 1-2 finish! They dominated this edition of Le Mans and it was kind of ovbious they were going to win it though you can never say whats going to happen in an endurance race like this (Toyota last year). I think the absence of other manufacturers helped and they had a great driver lineup too. All the great work finally paid off.
Toyota must have started working on their new marketing campaigns.
