Re: End of an era: Fernando Alonso to retire from F1

It will be weird not to see him in F1 next year.

Really well written and researched set of articles by Andrew Benson of BBC on him

Re: End of an era: Fernando Alonso to retire from F1

Alonso Wins Rolex 24 at Daytona driving Minolta Cadillac.

His legend grew another notch or two today. However, the real Triple Crown of Motorsport still eludes him and he has the opportunity to win the Indy 500, with McLaren in May and match Graham Hill, so far the only driver to manage the rare accolade.

Should the Spaniard triumph at the Brickyard, he will then have accomplished the unique ‘Quadruple Crown of Motorsport’ with Daytona added to the triple.
