I think McLaren has gotten it all wrong. In 2050, the world around us will have moved so far ahead that we cannot even imagine right now. EVs? Fuel-cell cars? Autonomous cars? Who the hell knows.

In such a world, Formula 1 will do well to move back to classic motor-racing. Turbos, loud exhausts, 10 - 12 cylinder engines and timeless styling. Like this.

No one is watching electric horses race today. The derbies are all about real horses. Hence, I think racing will remain about real cars.
