Lewis Hamilton to be awarded a Knighthood

He's going to be called Sir Lewis Hamilton. A title he longed for and is now well deserved. Lewis Hamilton is going to be Knighted in this New Years Honour list after winning his seventh F1 title.

But he told the BBC that if the honour were bestowed on him, it would be the 'happiest day of his life' to meet the Queen again.

He said: 'Like everyone, I've grown up adoring the royal family, if one day I am honoured to be up in front of the queen again, it would be the happiest day ever to see here again, she's an icon, such an incredible individual.'

Totally deserved! He'd have got it much earlier except for his tax residency complicating things but the right strings have been pulled to make an exception.

We'll see Sir Lewis gunning it down Hamilton Straight at Silverstone 2021 I guess!
