At the moment my Favorite F1 driver is Max Verstappen. I also like Kimi Raikkonen (Who does not ?), Sergio Perez and Daniel Riccardo.

But we all have that driver who we idolize and love.

So here is my favorite F1 driver of all time - Sebastian Vettel.




Vettel is one of the greatest drivers of all time .He has driven for the likes of Toro Rosso ,Ferrari and Redbull racing. He won 4 drivers championships between 2010 and 2013 with Redbull racing . And I believe that prime Vette >prime Hamilton. I mean prime Vettel did not drive the most dominant car in history when he won his titles.

Some have suggested that Vettel is over. Honestly he can still challenge Hamilton. Hopefully he comes back to his best with Aston Martin this year .

My Favourite Driver of all time is Kimi Raikkonen.
Like is no nonsense attitude and is interested in only what he is supposed to do, i.e drive.

Alfa Romeo is not the car with which he can show his true potential but we have seen time and again as to why he is rated one of the best drivers in F1.

This I believe is wrong. From what I have read, good drivers almost always work in close co-ordination with their engineering, are present and fully involved.

Personally I love Kimi, and thought his way of doing it was the right way. But later, discovered that Schumacher, Alonso, Vettel all were much more involved than Kimi - and perhaps that showed in the results.

As a child I was a diehard Schumi fan and am still is. But later when I started seeing the old video’s of Senna, my perceptions changed.

Since the last 20 years F1 has come a long long way with regards to the car. Drivability and safety wise we could be in another dimension compared to earlier times.

It could be said F1 drivers of today are pampered and spoilt in the factors I mentioned above. It’s far easier to drive today mentally knowing even with a horrific accident which Grosjean had, the probability of survival/relatively less injuries is possible. So many driver aids make life a lot easier in the cockpit too.

In the olden times they drove with the full knowledge of what could happen in the event of a crash. It requires far more mental fortitude and pure guts.

If it’s all time then it would be tough to pick one. Sir Sterling Moss, Juan Manual Fangio, Jim Clark and Niki Lauda come to mind.

Sebastian Vettel for me!
He might not be at his best right now, but there is certain allure surrounding him that you just can't ignore! 2008 Monza, 2012 Brazilian, 2019 Canadian GP are some of his best!

Hope he comes back stronger in 2021 with Aston Martin!



Another driver I adore has to be Charles Leclerc. Pure Talent!

Yes I agree that Schumacher and Vettel are more involved with the team, but Kimi is also pretty much involved with the team and have heard/read praises from the current team manager that he provides good feedback which are helpful in further development of the car.
He is a F1 World Champion and was instrumental in bringing in good points for the teams he has driven for. I don't think someone will be able to sustain in this competitive sport if they were not instrumental in the progress of the team.

Schumi and Kimi for ever. I like them for their style, spirit and skills than all types of numbers. Just like how I almost forgot about cricket after Sachin's era (I cant even name the current team members anymore, but I dont miss it at all), I dont follow F1 that seriously anymore after Schumi.

Of all time, Schumacher & Hamilton. Both are G.O.A.T's of their own eras and I'm glad I've seen both race together at the same time!

Currently, It's Leclerc & Hamilton. Both are so good in their driving that I find it hard to compare them to anyone else.

Growing up, for me it was Schumi. Watching him pull out incredible pace and just dominate the sport was really satisfying to watch as a Ferrari fan.




But the raw speed and talent of Kimi was mesmerizing to watch in his McLaren days. That combined with his deadpan interviews and honest answers was a breath of fresh air. One of the unluckiest drivers as he was stuck with an unreliable McLaren which cost him the championship in '03 and '05.




Of the current crop of drivers, the one that really stands out to me is Charles Leclerc. I honestly think he is the fastest on the grid currently over one lap. He has absolutely schooled Vettel in 2020 and is a guaranteed future world champion. He also has such maturity for his age, something his peers lack. Cannot wait to see what he can do in a championship capable car.

The one and only Michael Schumacher.He was the reason I started following Formula One, his retirement is one of the reasons that I have almost stopped following Formula One since last few years. My second favourite is Sebastian Vettel.

Wow! Quite a few Vettel fans. He's a character, and most people like him for it apart from driving skills.
Of the current lot, Lando is fun, and Charles is extremely polished.
