Wow. Who would've bet on that!

Race control messed that one up. They could've easily let the lapped cars through earlier and avoided the controversy that'll now ensue.

Could a driver championship have so much drama?
What a race and what a season.

I am shaking with excitement.

MAX has done it!!!!!!!

Though the race was won on the track, it was decided by the stewards.

I still can't believe it, it will take a long time for the F1 world to come to terms with the result.

F1 stewards award the championship to Max! Max won. But what a loser he is to have won it like this. The best racer did not win it.

What the hell !!!!!!! Did Netflix script this final race ? I feel like the original decision was based on them not thinking they'd have the track cleared in time to let the lapped cars by. But yes of course Mercedes will be upset and Red Bull will be happy. It is what it is. What a season ! Absolutely entertaining ! congratulations to Max and Red Bull, hugely disappointed for Lewis.

What a Race!!!

The Best Driver in the last 5 races did not win but then the unpredictability and Drama and the last lap overtaking is great for live racing and F1. Will go down as one of the most dramatic final F1 race of the season which kept all on the edge of their seats.

Congratulations to Max.

Lot of controversies and this race will be remembered for a very long time. One of the best sport finale or entertainments, i have ever seen.

With the accidents in the past, Max finally had some luck. I am not a fan for either of them but i am glad Max won.

That was a fantastic end to a fantastic season! 1 lap to decide it all. Such good fun.

I'm obviously salty that Max weaved on the straight, and the FIA let only a few cars overtake, but at the end of the day it is what it is as Max says.

Hopefully next year is different for Lewis.

But Mercedes are still champions. So that still a win.

I'm happy to see a non-Mercedes winner - honestly F1 was becoming a bit boring with the Mercedes-Hamilton combination dominating the game.

But the best driver did not win today.

Spare a thought for Honda. Signing off from what looks like a permanent exit from F1 with a driver's title won with their engine.

From a motor that struggled to survive an installation lap in its first pre-season, to now finally beating the mighty Mercedes. Take a bow Honda.
