2007 le mans

In a predictable outcome, Audi once again won the most important race
in the world. Despite a heavy threat from Peugeot and retirement of
a team car, Frank Biela, Emanuele Pirro and Marco Werner drove Audi
#1 the furthest, leading to a wet 24 hour finish.

Big news came from the GT1 class when Aston Martin successfully
dethroned long time winner Corvette. Number 009 placed a remarkable
fifth overall as driven by David Brabham, Rickard Rydell and Darren
Turner.

To complement LeMans we have a round of Ferrari's Historic Challenge
from Mont Tremblant. Despite an absence of the factory's Corse
Clienti program, our gallery by Richard Owen still features some
remarkable classic Ferraris and the ongoing F430 Challenge.

Why do you say it wasnt the year of the C6R?? According to rules whoever wins gets a weight penalty, for soo many times C6R has been winning hence been slapped with weight penalty and more..

Finally this penalty would catch up to the corvette racing team, as for aston, in the mean time while c6r has been racing they have been perfecting their reliability which was poor to begin with, now they can run better and longer with less issues, so this day was to come, but now the next time aston will be or atleast should be slapped with penalty and the race would take another turn, not a big deal, I didnt see the race end but i was told that the safety car was brought into the last laps because of the weather, if it wasnt the case this aston martin vicotry wouldnt have been possible..either way I love Aston too, so no griefs there, always the better car wins in the end of the race which happened to be the DBR9..we will wait and see for the next time..

Also for better competition C6R and DBR9 should drop out of the GT1 class and join the GT2 where the other famous teams run, ferrari, porsche etc..

BTW I think Audi is just phenomenal when it comes to this...

Aston win was not expected by many people waiting for the next year and hoping for live coverage but will have to wait for it to come on the internet so i can see it the safety car did come out at the end but also wasn't satisfied with saleen result i thought this would be the year of saleen.

audi has done really well also so has Pescarolo.
