Fingers crossed bud! But as a tifosi, I fear Ferrari have left it too late. Not sure Hamilton has it in him now to deliver the win. (Hope I'm wrong!)

But I do think Hamilton's arrival will push/mentor Leclerc into becoming the championship winner that he can be. Of course, Ferrari has to give him the car than can do that too.

Either way, interesting season ahead for the Cavallino Rampante!

Compare Lewis's picture with this, Carlos Sainz's first day at Williams.

Lewis on his dazzling looking suit, in front of Enzo Ferrari's house, a F40 in the background and above all the picture of subtle geniousness as a symbolic gateway to announce his battle for his 8th championship with Ferrari.

Part of the itinerary for this week is also getting to see Lewis on his test run, assume its going to be crazy in Maranello. Doubting if we may get to see him in Red yet.
The difference is Ferrari's Glitz and Glamour.

Fingers crossed indeed! I am a Tifosi as well. With Hamilton, even though age is not on his side, his experience and mental toughness could still make a difference. That said, you're right—it all boils down to Ferrari delivering a car capable of consistent performance. If they can sort out reliability and strategic blunders, it could be a game-changer. 2024 was good I hope 2025 will continue the good trend. Regardless, the Cavallino Rampante has certainly set us up for an intriguing season. Let’s hope they give us something to cheer about this year!"

Needs to pick up some sprezzatura. Well, he's at the right place for that.
Honestly I think Lewis ate with this look - it's incredible. And ultimately if the menswear guy approves, there can be no higher arbiter on men's sartorial choices. Everyone knows this.

Style discourse aside, as a photo it goes hard. Iconic. Now it'll be time for him and the team to back it up on track. I'm a bit wary that his powers have waned given the lacklustre performance in the past two years (some of which can correctly be attributed to a sub par car, but then again last year the Mercedes was solid at a fair few tracks and he still struggled - though one could also argue that might be Lewis getting frozen out of the annual development). Lewis is still the biggest name brand in the sport, a resurgence for him, even if it's simply challenging (not even winning the title) would be a win win for all stakeholders I reckon.

What'll be especially interesting to see how he adapts to a non-Mercedes engine for the first time in his entire career.

PS: I find the whole discussion about the 7 windows and the door and the Enzo very amusing. Clever if true, amusing nonetheless if not

Lets hope Leclerc doesn't crack under this pressure. He definitely has everything going for him to beat lewis in the same machinery.

I believe Charles will have the upper hand at least at the beginning of the season. It's rumoured that the late braking and hard accelerating style of Hamilton driving is not working in the ground effect era of F1 Cars

I sincerely hope all this hype around Hamilton materialize and Ferrari compete for the 2025 Title Fingers crossed

Re: Formula 1 : 2025 Season

Interesting, is Lewis changing his helmet again to mostly yellow again? Towards the end of his time at Mercedes it got quite busy, especially post the purple grapefruit style design. I wish drivers would stick with simpler design motifs and bolder colours to stand out from under the halo.

On another note - do any sponsors migrate over with Lewis? I imagine Carlos must've had some sponsors that possibly have moved away with him (Estrella Galicia?).

Leclerc has spent considerable time at Ferrari and looking at the last two seasons, he is peaking at the right time.

Absolutely. Would like to see closer fights with multiple drivers contending for championship than one driver taking a clean sweep. Hope Ferrari, Merc, Mclaren doesn't screw up the design this year.

Agree on the helmet design. Lately Hamilton has adopted the bright contrast yellow and the black Merc with this combo used to stood out from the other cars

As far as sponsors, usually each driver will have 1-2 sponsors who support the driver and these companies are from their home countries.
With Lewis, its going to be a different case IMO. He has already build various businesses but would be interesting to see any moves from Merc to Ferrari.
British vs Italian sponsors competing with each other

Closer look at the helmet

Seeing how Sainz was performing and keeping up with him, he will be under more pressure with Hamilton. I am predicting by mid season Hamilton will displace Charles as #1 driver in ferrari.

That said this season is shaping up well, Max with the weakest car between the three will need to drive even better then ever and any DNF will severely hit his chances going for another WDC title, until redbull pulls a rabbit from the hat. I am also looking forward to see what changes are coming to Aston Martin with newey there now, will that make Alonso a strong contender.

I believe by this yellow he is referring to is Scuderia Ferrari Yellow - The colour of Modena

Yes, Santander moved to Williams from Ferrari. No idea about new sponsors with Ferrari from Lewis.

Guys, he's wearing Ferragamo. They're one of the few Italian houses that remain family-owned . And if Derek approves...

Nothing like a family-owned Italian house to complement the Ferrari legacy—class and heritage all the way. Lewis sure knows how to make a statement both on and off the track.

Nobody mentioned the much discussed attribute of this picture elsewhere.

Seven windows and a door. Referring to seven championships. A door for his eight!

Ferrari did it intentionally or not, don't know. But a good coincidence for sure.
