F1: Who might be driving for whom next season.

Saw this interesting article. Not too sure about accuracy given that Massa actually is staying on in Ferrari

Who might be driving for whom next season.

Ferrari
Kimi Raikkonen...staying put
Felipe Massa...to Toyota?
Fernando Alonso...joining from McLaren?

McLaren
Lewis Hamilton...staying put
Fernando Alonso...to Renault? Or Ferrari? Or Toyota?
Nico Rosberg...joining from Williams?
Heikki Kovalainen...joining from Renault?
David Coulthard...joining from Red Bull?

So this is what it seems:

McLaren: Alonso/Hamilton
Ferrari: Kimi/Massa
BMW: Heidfeld/Kubica
Renault: Kovalinen/Piquet
Williams: Rosberg/Wurz
RBR: Coulthard/Webber
Toyota: Trulli/Glock
Honda: Button/Barrichello
Super Aguri: Sato/Davidson
STR: Bourdais/Vettel
Force india F1: Sutil/Adrián Vallés
Prodrive: De la Rosa/Paffet/Klien/Fisi/Verstappen

Alonso's not going anywhere it seems. Will finish at lease the 2nd year of this 3yr deal.

Ferrari - KR + Massa
McLaren - LH + Pedro
BMW - Nick + Kubica
Renault - Alonso + Hekki
Williams - Nico + Luzzi
Honda - Rubens + Button
Toyota - Trulli + Glock /Fisi
Force India - Sutil + Ralf
Super Aguri - Sato + Davidson (Or pay driver)
STR - Sebastian 1 & 2
RRB - DC + Webbo

I dont think Prodrive will make it to the grid next year, they dont even have an chassis or an engine to begin with. Its a shame that the F1 management chose to give Dave Richards the chance instead of Chip Ganassi from US, who had offered to make his own chassis and enter F1.

Also, Williams are dead against Dave Richards buying a customer chassis and as it stands, their talks with Mclaren have reached a dead end. Richards is well known in European Racing/Rally/Tuning circles and would have lobbied hard for that last F1 team slot.

The way Alonso has been mouthing off, I reckon he wants out of Mclaren at the earliest. Which means he could be talking to atleast 1 possible race winning team.

Sutil will stay at Force India F1 for the sake of continuity. Mallya maybe interested in bringing Ralf on board, as he is an experienced campaigner and also a marketable surname. NK might have to wait just a little longer. If Rosberg leaves, then there is hope yet for the 2nd race seat at Williams.

The other big $$$ seat is the one at Toyota.

Ralf can't drive a Toyota well enough. He'd be at the tail end driving a Jordan.

well..speculations may be rife until they finalise contracts..but one thing is sure..ferrari is going without any changes until 2009 and Spykar is going to be "Power India" ? - subject to approval from other teams...Hail Mr.Mallya for taking us to that level

How qualified / experienced are you to say so ? , and can you elaborate what talents are required by an F1 pro .

Chandok is an exceptional talent , but hasn't everything given to him on a platter ? , i dont think chandok would or is running around for sponsors , backing as narain did .

No offence to you mate .

karun chandhok rejected spykar offer...

if rumours are to be believed then karun chandok was apparently approached by mallya and his spykar team ...but then he refused the offer and instead was said to be concentrating on GP2 for which he currently participates...
