Boy does it feel great to see these prediction threads missed them all these months. I agree with the rest about the top four teams. Ferrari should be back where they belong and the tyre changing rule coming back will surely help. I really hope to see a classic Ferrari Mclaren duel this season
I reserve my predictions till after Saturday qualifying
Bring on the five red lights

Grrr. U envious rats!! I'm comin' at ya,boys. Don't close ur eyes.
Qualification is also different this year right??? And its good that the tyre changes are back, otherwise people will have second thoughts abt the Indianapolis GP even tho that will never ever happen again..
Either of the Ferrari's... I don't care... so long as its a RED MAN on the top step of the podium... would be nice to see Massa up there eh??:D
First race might be bit of a gamble, u can never really say... i would vouch for the ferrari though
Would love to see KIMI on top of the podium. Been a while he's quite unfortunate despite being the quickest!

- I second it! I second it!!
Bidding for a Monty victory!!!
4 days to go.. and here's what i think..
of the top teams..
Renault
have continued their good work from last year.. solid in testing..
quick lap times and no reliability issues
FA leaving for mclaren.. will not affect his chances for a title this yr.. he's far too professional a driver for that
i still dont think GF has the pace to match him
However, given flavio's politics etc and what happened with trulli in end 2004
renault could start favouring Fisi, i'm sure that fisi will not have the bad luck he had last yr
Mclaren
montoya has got settled in the team..and should challenge kimi regularly now
though i rate kimi to be the quicker of the 2 a fair bit
the question is again of the mercedes engine..
already they'v had reliability issues and are well down on performance in it
( probably among the slowest engines in 2006 )
Ferrari
MS is dying to prove a point.. he aint finished yet !
ferrari have been doing extensive tyre testing.. and now have additional data from williams and toyota
that will be a big help
they have had reliability issues though.. only bahrain will tell if they have all been sorted out..
i'm also looking forward to see massa drive.. should be interesting
they have been 4th in the "winter testing championship"..
behind renault,mcleren and honda
Toyota
the suprise of the 2005 season..
had originally thought they would challenge for a couple of wins this yr..
but they appear to be off the pace by a fair bit.. are they sandbagging ?
the toyota engine is among the best on the grid though..
bahrain will reveal all
Honda
after 2005's big let down.. they have come back very strongly this year
RB is a good signing compared to the crazy sato
they have been pretty impressive in winter testing
i feel they will win races this yr.. maybe button's 1st win..
Williams
another team that have upped their game significantly from 2005..
and suprise suprise the Cosworth enigine has been mighty impressive !
i do feel they can get podiums this yr
also looking forward to seeing how the GP2 champ nico does..
Red Bull
they deserve a mention for sure
they are spending lots of money.. poaching lots of personnel
in the quest of becoming a top team.. and now they have adrian newey..
klien is well settled and uncle David seems strong..
also.. ferrari power will help them
I dont know what to predict as I have been out of touch with F1 lately but I want Kimi and Mclaren to win and no Ferrari on the podium.
Ferrari look quite strong looking at the testing times and would love to see Schumi winning again but i feel Alonso also has a good chance to win there. I am also expecting Honda to be on the podium.
My predictions for the winner are9in order of preference)
Rubens
shumacher
Alonso
Kimi
Lets see how the race shores up.
Damn! I miss being in Delhi where on race weekends my favourite hangout was teh Sports Bar in Radisson....what atmosphere man!
But now I am in TVM-what to do, cest la vie- work takes u every where:(
Honda look very strong and renault is also on the pace.so it will be either of the renaults or honda in the top three.MS may have an outside chance because they have recently tested in Bahrain but sadly the 248 is still not on the pace.just hopping for some Michael magic.
off topic:are F1 races screened at any place in Bombay?
