Disaster for Ferrari!! Alonso drove well and he is sure going to motivate Renault to do better!

As soon as both Ferrari's were in deep trouble I lost my interest in the race. Looks like without TC F1 is going to be boring with too many retirements! Yawn!

What a RACE!!!!
Knew Hamilton would nail it, but really happy for two teams. This is how it should be. Forget the drivers for a moment, just think about how the teams would be feeling. BMW Saubers and Williams F1. A brotherhood which separated and today, both of them scored a Podium. I have seen Williams Engineers work day in and day out with the engine reliability. Hats off to both the teams. A True Result of immense hard work. Motorsports At Its Best.

Brilliant race of attrition.Kimi was Pathetic as was Massa in the opening lap.Hamiltion drove a brilliant race but his team mate was unlucky with the SC.As for Force India, this is the likely way they were going and are going to finish most of the races.

lol only 7 cars crossed the finish line out of the 22 that started the race
looks like its going to be a mclaren dominated season08
f1 is getting to be so depressing as each season passes
used to be so much fun 8 to 10 seasons back

also i think force india may be sold by V.M at the end of this season

Maybe he pressed some buttons, like the pitlane speed limiter.

Well it was a straight so cant really say what happened till the drivers statement doesnt come out, the speed limiter looks tough, as that would have locked the wheels up. I feel Alonso's line suprised him, maybe he saw him suddenly change the line and was caught off guard, had some problems with the shift or something, but it was a very good battle put up by Alonso, a car which was almost 8th fastest in the race.

Anyways, here are the official results of the 2008 Australian Grand Prix

The speedlimiter doesn't work like that,it progresively reduces the engine revs. Its not like it shifts from 4th to 1st to lock the wheels,it can't change the gears, only engine revs so there is no lock up only loss of engine power.

Well can I ask what makes you state that ?

We have two new teams on the podium, both of which have been working hard. Kimi and Ferrari will be even more determined now, Alonso drove well and even if not a podium, it will be almost like a win for the team. I really feel its a bit too harsh to state that its depressing. Its MotorSPORTS after all, even if our favourite team or driver didnt win, the matter of fact that two new teams achieved their goals, is something we must stand and appreciate. Infact this makes the season even more interesting I feel. And thanks for the info merve_extreme, wasnt aware of it. Cheers dude!
