Well, what the papers didn't mention was that Schumi himself was about 5 seconds off the pace setter! He was probably doing some tests and not going for outright times. Whereas Jordan, well, I just hope they were doing some tyre testing too...!!

You mean to say that the Jordans were running 5 + 2.5 = 7.5 secs slower than Schumi? Though i don't think it's true bcoz the Jordans themselves must have been a couple of sec slower, you never know.

So finally, it might come down to around 2-3 secs. Being slower by 7.5 secs wont even qualify them for the race, as you have to be within 107% of the pole time.

anything which bring back the chics to watch F1 on sundays is welcomed, the reason i said is these will be chellenging stuff which teams have to overcome and moreover maybe create a better even field for not so wealthy teams..
