drama at melbourne.. as the rain mixed things up.. big time !
more importantly..narain blew his team mate away ( even though the latter had a fractionally drier track ! )

I didn't get you. Qualifying is at 1130 IST right??

Narain's lap was very impressive as a rookie and if he does well tomorrow also, then he might be starting the race somewhere around 10th place on the grid which is very good. Heres what Narain had to say "Qualifying was a bit tricky for the rookies today as it was so slippery. I am happy with what I have done. Obviously I could have pushed a bit harder but I am learning step by step".

The live qualifying was at 0730 IST and at 1130 its the repeat.

Qualifying is over Gordon. Atleast session 1.

Narain did great! Did you see his lap? He was on the limit, but not over, and his timing reflected that.

However, speaking about the whole session, this new aggregate time thing is terrible IMO. It creates artificial grids, based more on luck than on the drivers/teams performance.

Might as well have them pick their starting positions from a hat.

Narian's inital outing on a F1 track was bloody impresive & especially in the wet. Looks like India has a lot to be proud of. Congatulations guys. One of your countrymen in F1 - That's GREAT man. Anyone know him?

The second qualifying session is at 4.30 am
Race Day starts at 7.30 am tomorrow morning.

Im getting up at 4 am to watch qual.

And it was very tricky qual. session NK did well. And MS what bad luck man.
Lets see how things work tomorrow.

Damn maan ... missed the qualifying today and will miss the race tommorow too. Would be travelling on the road. Hey i have come to know that there are some new rules .... any idea on what the new rules are.....just some points may be?? Whats with the qualifiers before the race?? Any idea when the race repeat telecast will be.....sorry guys i think thats too many questions.

Dude... I agree with you completely... but with one change in mind... why not also put the car's in a hat and have the driver's pick for the cars as well...

The powers-that-be should realise that this is FORMULA ONE and not IRL... they messed it up with the one shot qualifying, and just when we thought things couldnt get worse.... they introduce this RUBBISH....

Methinks that inspite of MS still being in F1, its going to have an adverse effect on viewership.

well, I sure as hell ain't getting up at 4.30 AM to watch the staged show they call qualifying now.

So i guess that is an adverse affect on viewership right there!!

And yea, the picking cars out of the hat idea would make for some interesting races lol!
