MOre from the media

Lewis Hamilton wants to remain a McLaren driver for the length of his Formula 1 career. New Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton has reiterated his desire to remain a McLaren driver for the remainder of his career as he received a heroes welcome at the team's headquarters in Woking.

Joined by pop star girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger, Hamilton revealed that he has no intention of deviating his career away from the team that helped him become the youngest champion in Formula 1 history.

"I'm with the team I've always dreamt of driving for, and I've got the car I always wanted - so why change?" the 23-year-old, who also received a congratulatory message from the Queen, told the BBC. "I don't know how long I'll be in F1 - but I want to see my career out with this team, and that's my plan."

Congratulations to Hamilton for the Drivers crown and Ferrari for the Constructors' crown. However, I feel Hamilton was lucky as Timo Glock let him race past in the final moments but a win is a win. At the same time I felt bad for Massa as he did everything he could but it was not enough to win the Championship. Listening to him speak, one felt good because he refused to make petty statements and shift the focus off Hamilton and instead praised and showered Hamilton with the best words. Hamilton has won the championship but I'm sure Massa has won the hearts of people and fans.

LOL LOL LOL..Eddy Eddy. What made you make those comments. Thats never going to happen. The Tifosi HATE hamilton. To have a brit driver in an italian car..that is just unheard off.

But on second thoughts. Ferrari. Hamilton. Dam. Thats super hot. The BEST DRIVER with the best constructors. Would surely love to see a test drive.
This combo could set the track on fire.

BUt But but... Never going to happen so..back to work.

Ferrari fans your views on this..Q!!!

Read that piece of news early on today. I dont think that will happen anytime in the near future. Hamilton is contracted to Mclaren till the end of 2012 and he is very happy with his team. There is more a possibility of Alonso landing up in Ferrari in 2011 at the latest.

LOL.Not posting as a Tiffosi, but with some logic.

Why on earth would he do that?

He is driving for a team which ,inspite of him being a rookie in a debut season, took his side in his battle against his 2 times WDC team mate.I dont think he will get that kind of commitment in any other team.

In anycase,he is contracted to Mclaren until 2012 and Ferrari has its lineup until 2010.However there are chances of LH racing against a certain Alonso sitting in a Red car.

I read somewhere that most of the Brits dont consider Hamilton to be a Brit at all, given the fact that he has moved his residence to tax haven Switzerland.

The Tifosi hated Kimi too till 2006 (though I guess not as much as Alonso). But come 2007 & it was all forgotten & he became their champion - the Tifosi have very short memories, or rather we don't hold any vendettas

Not exactly - remember Nigel Mansell, Eddie Irvine, John Surtees, Derek Bell, & Mike Hawthorn ?

When we say it's improbable that Lewis will switch to another team, we're assuming McLaren would be at the leading edge in terms of car performance in the coming years. Just a couple of years back, their cars were known for their unreliability & were responsible for scuppering Kimi's chances at a WDC. We do not know how competitive future MP4-XXs will be - give Lewis a couple of years with a bad car & I'm sure he'll be changing his tune After all, there's a shining example of awesome talent gone to waste in Jacques Joseph Charles Villeneuve...

P.S. - Congratulations to Lewis Hamilton, the 2008 WDC...

Everyone does that! Schumacher himself got a load of flack for moving to Swiss. That doesn't make him any less a German.

Tell that to his own countryfolk (the brits, just to be clear) who hate him for that
I am comfortably indifferent.

Hamilton Owes his life to Glock for slowing down just by the finish line. or else it was a tie between him and Massa. i just hope kimi performs well next season, and gets the Drivers Championship aswell
