1 7 Fernando Alonso Renault 00:01'19''945

1 Kimi Raikkonen Ferrari 00:01'20''250
3 3 Nick Heidfeld BMW-Sauber 00:01'20''520
4 11 Jarno Trulli Toyota 00:01'20''861
5 10 Mark Webber Red Bull 00:01'20''894
6 8 Kazuki Nakajima Williams 00:01'20''948
7 20 Adrian Sutil Force India 00:01'21''476

Most interesting part is Hamilton has done only 8 laps or so and had an engine in flames and Kimi has done highest number of laps with 71 with Fernando testing with a new front wing. This update is at 2:00 in the noon

what's interesting to know is that Fernando's fastest time came in the set of Five Lap stint and Kimi's fastest lap came in 13 lap stint and the difference is .385 so fuel loads may be a factor

Good that we have 10 teams competing this season.

Is this engine same as the one Force India gets?

Honda after the mid of last season said they are focusing on 2009 car development. If it had gone well and no issues with mating of the mercedes 2.4 unit, hopefully we could see Brawn F1 running in midfield with the likes of williams and Redbull. (Or I am too optimistic)

I guess you are too optimistic mate.

The Honda 2009 chassis was built for the Honda engines. Now that the Mercedes deal is through, they have to do a lot of work on the chassis!

And Brawn has already stated that they have revised targets to 2010! Not sure of the source

First images of BGP 001, color scheme looks cool and front wing looks too complicated

IMPORTANT FOTA DISCUSSIONS

Formula one teams have proposed a new points scoring system for the 2009 season and beyond.

The FOTA alliance fronted a media event in Geneva on Thursday, where they laid out their blueprint for the evolution of the sport.

A tweaked points system to be implemented immediately - replacing the current 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 with 12-9-7-5-4-3-2-1 - is one of the major initiatives.

A statement said the plan, an alternative to Bernie Ecclestone's rejected 'medals' proposal, would similarly ‘give greater reward to Grand Prix winners’.

In 2010, a point may be awarded to the team with the fastest race pitstop.

Another interesting commitment is to publish race fuel loads, tyre specifications and refuelling data, while next year the teams want to reduce the duration of races from 300km to 250km.

Good to see Jense completing 140 odd laps without any reliability problems. Laptime also seems pretty good.
