Was there in the Delhi TOI yesterday, should be there in the Mumbai edition as well. It is at Reclamation. They had given the site where you need to log on & register for passes to the event

Watch Mika Hakkinen..used to be punch line of Mercedes Benz ad in 1998 & 1999 when Mika won WDC back to Back.
It would be cool to see the Finn set ablaze MUmbai...you Mumbaikars are lucky.Post loads of pics.

The original Iceman - outside Bangalore, that is. The picture below was taken in Adelaide and earned him the title "Flying Finn".
Iceman, Australia - what a coincidence! Another Iceman was in a similar pose last Sunday

What?? Is Mclaren Mercedes trying to see whether their F1 car can withstand Mumbai's potholed roads?

Yes Dan you heard right but with some changes.

Its for the "Never Drink & Drive" Campaign.
The run would be on the Bandra Reclamation Flyover ( not on the streets of Mumbai Shipnil) on the 30th of this month.
There are only limited seats so i guess who ever wants to see it has to act fast.

Registrations for the event

Has anyone been able to register for the event?

I logged on to the website address given in the press ad, Join The Pact

The registration page asks you to click to register, but clicking on the page has no effect.

I sent an sms to the number mentioned in the press ad, got a reply asking me to log on to same website!

Seems like this giving away of free passes is just a marketing gimmick by Johnie walker & Co.

My father is on the board of WIAA, hence i got four passes. The ML might even be the safety car for the day Michael schume.

I have heard the passes are only limited in numbers so Johnie Walker might have also expired their quota of passes. will check with WIAA tom and revert.

The link works fine. Just register online with your name email and other details. Then you go enter your email in the "Print your ticket" box and an Eticket appears on your screen which you print and carry along to the venue. Gates open at one and the thing starts at around 1.30.
