But, now after Kawasaki confirming their exit, it'll be a 17 rider grid with Hopper and Marco standing out.

aah was waiting for somebody to start the thread, anyws i watch it very closely,
So lorenzo up with a new number.

read the reviews on the website for their last test, looked good, casey still very strong, but rossi was close enough on timings. Hope one tyre manufacture rule will give a good treat for the eyes in terms of competition, this means more close results.

I have voted for 46-Valentino Rossi.

The Doctor (Rossi) as he is named will win in 2009, thats my prediction. As I think that if he wins in 2009 he might retire from Moto GP. Hoping for a great season in 2009.

The Doctor!

But he is going to have a tough time from Stoner & Hayden this year.

Rooting for le doctor, but looking to watch a good challenge from Stoner. Would be interesting to see how he reacts after his consecutive falls last year.

Any links to why Kawasaki would not see the track this year?

manson.

Financial problems with the parent company. Same reasons as Honda pulling out of F1

I doubt he will retire sooo sooon, he has plans to have some mroe championships under his name.

The Doctor all the way!

I don't think he'll retire so soon, well I hope he doesn't!

Great news for all the Kwacker and Marco fans.

Kwacker will line up in the grid, only with Marco Melandri.

From Here

Marco Melandri, on the other hand, is willing to go ahead with the season only if he gets a fair testing time with the 2009 Kawasaki machine.

I think it will be doctor again this year.
Hope Casey, Dani and Jorge put up a stiff challenge for the doc

More news... Hungarian round is postponed to 2010. The FIM, motorcycling's governing body, has confirmed that there will no replacement for the postponed Hungarian MotoGP event, meaning the 2009 championship calendar will be reduced to 17 rounds. This is sad.

How is the preseason tesing going on.
Last I read was Stoner setting the pace.

preseason test is goood as far as i know, Rossi was just few tens of a second behind stoner, in the last test, stoner did lead but this time Lorenso was 2nd fastest followed by rossi. So goood too see movements happening. I want to se what Nicky hayden has in store since he is on Ducati along with stoner.

Apart from the front runners Dani, casey and valentino..
I would be closely following Nicky, Jorge and Loris.

It would be intresting to see how Nicky manages the Ducati electronics.

April 12 seems too far away:Frustrati

I will root for the Fiat Yamaha with The Doctor on board.I
