Brilliant race and what a result for Ferrari and FI. The gap between Kimi and Fisi never crossed 2.000 seconds all through 44laps, thats how close FI was to Ferrari.
Congratulations VJM, you have made India proud.

Bravo Fisi and Salute to VJM for making it all happen.

Fisi had the perfect car today and he drove like god, but still didn't have that champion's nerve of steel to make a pass on Kimi. If not for the pace car he would have won today...easy! Had a killer lead at the first start.

The pit crew unfortunately were not able to help Fisi leapfrog Kimi. Average stops with no strategy as-such , did him in. The team are just not used to competing under pressure like Ferrari is.

Vettel's RedBull came alive after half the race and he had the fastest lap, but it was not enough because it came too late.

Good job by Kimi. A good boost for the team after all the pains this season. Kimi drove like a champion even if he did not have the fastest car today.

Three cheers to Sutil. If you guys noticed he pulled some amazing passes thru EauRouge that blew my mind away. Starting with more fuel was not the good choice for him as it killed him at the start.

Toyota. I repeat myself...they have a good car but they need some world class drivers to give it the results it deserves. How can you have the biggest budget in F1 but still work with average drivers?

Shockingly Jenson Button's lead is still OK because everytime there is a new winner so there is nobody consistent to break his lead.

Well done Kimi & Fisi, awesome race.
Driver of the day, definitely Fisi, he managed to stay behind Kimi right through.
But with kind of start Kimi managed, Kimi always had the edge.

Kimi again showed he continues to rule the Belgian hills

Vettel managed a good 3rd position. Webber unlucky with what happened, he could have had 3rd if not for that mistake from the team.

It was the safety car period that spoilt Fisi's chances of victory. Kimi would have struggled to catch up, with the kind of lead Fisi had until then.

I was really impressed with the race pace of the FI car. Coming 2nd just 0.9 secs behind a Ferrari after so many laps and 2 pit stops says a lot.

Kimi on the other hand was one lucky guy. First bari gets to a horrible start, then most of the fast cars crash out, followed by the safety car period and then the kers advantage to get ahead of Fisi.

Awesome race by Fisi. He maintained the pressure on Kimi throughout the race, and it was wonderful.

However, the race coverage is terrible. Advertisement during the all important second pit stop is not at all a good thing to boast about. Also, there are a lots of ads before which the commentator says that that would be the last ad before the checkered flag.

Would it have been the Indian national anthem had Fisi won the race ? or some other country based on where the Force India team is registered ??

Depends on what you call luck. Having KERS was actually like a 'curse' for most part of the season.
Now that Kimi is making some good use of it, you have to give it to him instead of calling him lucky. Without safety car he would have been second anyway.
Spa always brings the best of Kimi.

There are two anthems played. One for driver, one for constructor. For constructor i think it would have been Indian anthem as the team owner is an Indian. I don't think it depends on where the team is based out of.

Maiden Podium for Force India Mercedes

Congratulations to Force India for having Giancarlo Fisichella finish in P2 at Spa!! The team totally deserve this podium. What amazed me was what Fisi said in the post race press conference, that he was much faster than Kimi, but the KERS enabled scarlet car was able to thwart his challenges.

Nonetheless, after coming close to a points scoring position so many times, and having it snatched away in a cruel way--Remember Kimi crashing into Fisi at Monaco last year?, the team truly deserves this podium.

Congrats to VM and everyone in the team!
