Formula1:British Grand Prix, Silverstone

Another engine failure for Kimi in practice. And another drop by 10 places on the grid.

Are McLaren serious about their title chances?

Woah !!!

Another engine failure but that doesnt dampen the Flyin Finns spirits. He is sure to fight back and go for the podium. Even last race he was way down but came second so I expect another scorcher from Kimi

Qualifying will be interesting..

NOOO!!! Something seems to have gone from Fisi to Kimi... bad luck. Damn. Yeah, how can McLaren do this 2 weekends in a row...?? But you're right there, Dippy, that an engine failure ain't gonna stop Kimi from flying... hehe... hope to see an interesting race tomorrow..

Wow.. what a Qualifying round... tough luck for Kimi, he looked and was really fast through the track and i think he was carrying a bit more fuel onboard the car, thanks to the engine failure in practice session. Well, got to see how he finishes the race tomorrow.
Alonso did a really good lap to take pole position. He seems to have all the luck in the world to become this years WDC. Interestingly, Renault say this is a track where they are relatively weak !!
And rain doesnt seem to come into play tomorrow, thats what the weather report says..... but, you never know.

A very interesting qualifying!

JPM seems to be suffering from an early Q-slot. Button may be is running lighter wanting a pole at home. Kimi certainly scorched the track. But I thought he would have been slightly better off with a slightly heavier fuel load. Alonso was a surprise (ok a shock for me). Is there such a huge difference between Alonso and Giancarlo? As much as 1 sec? I think, the Renault strategy might be for Fernando to blast off from the start and make Fisi hold Kimi for some time. If Kimi finishes the race without any incidents, expect him to come first or second. JPM will be a bigger threat than Alonso for him at Silverstone.

I hope Monty can take this one. He semms to be running more fuel than the Alonso and Button.

I hope so too....

Kimi seems to have his share of bad luck in Qualifying and JPM has his share in the race....just hoping everything goes fine for them and both of them end up on the podium.

I missed watching qualifying live....what happened to Tiago..didn't see him in the list of qualifiers..... good for NK...just hope this time he does finish ahead of his team mate..

Cheers!!!

The qualifying was really breath taking. And i hope the race is too, and that JPM gets to finish the race, 2nd behind Schumi in 1st

but in the French GP, didn't he manage a podium finish?? maybe it could happen here too, unless sumtin goes wrong. And abt Kimi, with that pace, i'm sure hes a really big challenge

He did manage it thanks to JPM's bad luck. More than that he was a lap down to Alonso/Kimi. I agree you never know in a F1 race what's gonna happen.....Kimi would be a treat to watch.....he's got a fast car all he needs is to gain a few places at the start and put pressure on Alonso...but as some one mentioned earlier Fischella might have an agenda for slowing down Kimi...and its more likely we'll see JPM put the pressure on Alonso...

Either ways it gonna be an interesting race...

Cheers!!!
