The last F1 race of the season at ABU DHABI. Any team-bhpian going there ?

With Jenson button sealing the championship points and Brawn GP winning the Constructors title in its debut season, the last of the race is not anyways a nail biting finale, like the one last season

We now come to the last race of the season and that too at a new venue. The inaugural race ending the F1 2009 season at the Yas Marina Circuit. Supposed to be a well designed circuit, suitable for high speeds. and indeed the most beautiful tracks for F1 so far.

What do we expect to see in the next race, 8 days from now.

very interesting circuit.
that long and weird pit-lane exit can blind the best of drivers in a day race.

Rather than a smooth flowing circuit, this one seems to be more about braking and acceleration and tight turns. KERS cars will do well here, I'm sure.

yea, this one has got 2 very long straights, and 24 turns in all.
another opportunity for mclaren
of all the the teams i think mclaren have got their KERS right the most.

the pit lane exit actually crosses the track from beneath a flyover of sorts.
i guess all the filthy rich would have seats above it.

is it going to be a night race?
the race starts at 5:00 pm local time, generally it starts 12:00 pm local time.

That looks like a very unique circuit somewhat street circuit type atleast part of it . The pitlane exit is very intersting and dramatic .

Yes, cars with KERS will have an advantage in this track. But considering the high track temperature Brawn has a great chance, I think. Let us wait and see.

The circuit has 21 corners as we can see in the image, thanks to wikipedia.

The circuit sure looks nice but some how fails to impress me, lacks character unlike Spa or Suzuka.

And I really didnt know if I should laugh or think of the accident possibilities looking at the pit lane design.

All drivers will be using tinted visors as its going to be very sunny, and the pit lane exit will surely blind the drivers

For all you know I may be wrong and I hope we dont see any accidents.

How many people are going for the abu dhabi F1?

Was just wondering, I'm leaving this morning for Dubai and wanted to know who all I might be able to meet if possible at the race, got the 4 day pass, so should be there atleast 3 days at the circuit.

Hope to see some of you out there, I have always been a fan of F1 but because of living in the US and work it's impossible for me to follow it, but didn't want to give up an opportunity like this to atleast get into the sport first hand.

Can't wait to check it out in person and possibly see some of you there.

Cheers
