ha ha ha... Its now real difficult to have one hot favourite.

With the new Ferrari,

With Massa being Back,

With Newer teams,

With a refreshed Force India team,

and, above all

MICHAEL SCHUMACHER

This season is gonna be mindblowing.

8 more days and still counting down real fast.

I receive this on my mail.

Every team would be feeling the same The coming weekend is gonna Rock n Roll.

Dear PAVAN,

Countdown to Bahrain

The 2010 Formula One season finally gets underway in Bahrain next week and marks the return of a Mercedes-Benz works team to the sport for the first time in 55 years. The Silver Arrows will make their competitive debut on Sunday 14 March with Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg at the wheel of the two MGP W01 cars.

Michael is looking forward to his return to F1: "Finally the season will start! I feel like a child looking forward to Christmas. The decision to make my comeback feels like a long time ago now and I can hardly wait for the season to get underway in Bahrain. I am perfectly prepared physically and most importantly, my energy is back completely. It is always difficult to predict the form in pre-season testing, this year more than ever, but the final test in Barcelona proved to us that we should be competitive. We know that we will have more new parts in Bahrain which should bring extra performance to the car. It's important to be in the leading group from the start of the season and I am confident that we will be there."

Nico is also keen for the racing to start: "The build-up to a new Formula One season is always an exciting time, particularly when you have a new team to settle into and a brand new car to get used to. It has been a really nice process integrating into MERCEDES GP PETRONAS. Everyone has been very welcoming and I feel very much at home here already. Our pre-season testing programme has gone pretty well. We have a good upgrade coming for Bahrain which should develop the car further and so I am quite optimistic that we will do well. Bahrain is a track which I really enjoy so it should be a good start to the season all in all."

This season is definitely full of action. I don't think people were so eagerly waiting for f1 season in last 5 years. I believe this time the title championship will go down the wire and there will be 4-5 contenders for it even in the last race.

Personally I think Schumi will not win any podium and will be hovering in 4-7th position. Though I want him to do well just like Sachin Tendulkar.

Looks like a close battle between McLaren, Ferrari and Red Bull. If the super diffuser which Brawn plans to bring to Baharian is deemed legal then we will be in for a treat.

Hi Pavan

Sorry for posting this out of topic as I was not allowed to open a new thread on this. I thought it will be great to open a thread where we play a prediction game before each race. Anyway, I was wondering if we should start it here with your permission ofcourse.

What I thought of doing was start a thread where we can each given in predictions for the pole and winner of each race before the start of qualifying on Saturday. No more entries should be allowed after that. But do remember that this is a fun game and does not involve any prizes like the F1 fantasy games that we all play. So if you want to know how good you are at guestimating, you may post.

Do let me know what you think about the same.

Also, if anyone from Bangalore is interested in watching the race live on Sunday at a pub, etc. Do let me know. We can all meet up and have some fun. Will be good to meet fellow T-BHPians as well!

Buddy, you dont require my permission here this is an open forum.

We can start predictions here for Bahrain, since we have a dedicated thread for each races year through.

My predictions for the pole:

1) Schumi / Massa
2) Alonso / Hamilton
3) Button / Sutil

I will not predict anything for the race before the qualifying.

Bahrain GP Predictions :

Pole : Alonso.
Position 2 : Hamilton.
Position 3: Button.

Race Winner : Alonso / Hamilton.
runner - up : Button / Alonso / Hamilton.

This is valid if they donot crash out or end up with mechanical problems.
