WOW!! The jack looks real cool and easy to use. This is the first time i'm seeing something like this.

HI Nitrous,

Is that a radiator behind the spare wheels . Are the air ducts on top for the same.

Here is a pic of Scorpio flexing it muscles to help the Aprilia team in the 2010 Dakar Rally.

The white truck, carrying all the supplies for the Aprilia team got stuck in the middle of the Atacama desert (Chile) when trying to get to the checkpoint at the Dakar .When others failed trying to pull it out.. The Mahindra Scorpio came to the rescue. The Aprilia team finished 3rd.

Isn't anyone following this year's event at all? I did not see any thread on the 2011 Event anywhere. Or did I miss it by some chance?
Its sad to see that people are not interested in the mother of all Motorsports Events. Boy I used to dream of participating in the Dakar as a kid.

Excellent pictures there. Happy to see someone else who really loves the sport. It was great to see Al-Attiyah take the podium. Sainz was also doing good, But hard luck for him that he had to settle for third place on the podium. Awesome driving as usual none the less.

How do these guys carry out the recce? I mean how much would they be taking to complete the recce?

Amazing pictures. The pic of the crashed chopper gives some idea as to what lengths these guys go to get exclusive pics.

Don't expect this to be broadcasted in India.
You can find the daily highlights easily on the Internet.

They do show this in India. I used t follow it everyday around 2-3 years ago. DD broadcasts it and there were a couple of other channels as well. I remember seein a 3 hour a day telecast of the rallies.

Actually i saw a couple of stages on ESPN, its was at regularly aired at 12 midnight. I did download all the stages and some high-res pictures.

DD broadcast some great stuff, but the grainy/foggy print plays truant in the entire experience.
