everytime i come to US, I'm automatically dragged towards NASCAR. this time too, I got sucked into the NASCAR fever.
NC is a more or less the hotbed of NASCAR and it was race weekend too !! i almost made my way to the race track but then the traffic around the track put me off. Instead I hung around at my sister's place and the next day, made my way to the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte,NC.

the tour begins with a movie about the history of NASCAR. quite an interesting movie.in fact I'm gonna start a thread which will be all about NASCAR. after that, I had to go and register my ID card on a kiosk which would enable me to clock points against my name on playing all the interactive games in the museum.The registration requires one to select any driver of preference as the host. i chose Jeff Gordon. He'd come and speak up whenever I used the ID card on any games. neat.
I then moved onto the beginning of the displays.
the cars were placed on the spiral ramp called the Glory Road.

this ramp had a gradient built in. there was a mention too of the gradient at that point . nice.
later i realized that there were small display stands at every other gradient point. then i realize that the display's were of the tracks with that gradient. very thoughtful.

i drove a simulator. thats the only option you get.
I've driven a nascar previously at Talladega speedway.

Whoa!!! never knew Nascar racing has so many tracks!!! I guess some of them are no longer in use right? Or all of them are still being used? Really a great thread & I'm going to rate 5 from me now.
