| Third Indian to participate in Formula2
The great south Indian Film star and keen racing driver Ajith kumar now in Formual2. Having previously competed in both Asia and Europe. He made his racing debut in 2003, where he contesting selected rounds of the Formula BMW Asia series. Ajith scored a top six finish during his maiden campaign before moving to the UK in 2004 to compete in the hugely competitive British Formula 3 series. He contested the full season in the National class and scored two podium finishes.
Whilst acting has taken up the majority of Ajith's time in recent years, he feels the time is right to return to racing as the sport continues to grow in his own country.
Ajith is the third Indian driver to join the 2010 F2 grid - following Armaan Ebrahim and Parthiva Sureshwaren.
Racing Career -
1) 2003 Formula BMW Asia - 7th position
2) 2004 British F3 (National Class) - 10 races, 2 podiums
3) 2010 FIA Formula Two Championship
