The quick splash and dash at Monaco during the safety car period when Alonso crashed has given away to a new rule as stated by Monday's TOI.

On the cards is a proposal to change the rules to incorporate a shutting down of the pitlane when the safety car is out. All that pitstop poker, the game we loved to watch, an opportunity for some excitement is gone.

Too bad FIA has seriously lost it.

I agree....I really don't see the reasoning behind this rule. They FIA has changed the qulaifying format for the better, but now gone and put another stupid rule in its place.

Is this their way of balancing things?

More Changes!! I don't believe that changes mean progress.Improvization is progress. What i mean is that teams other than Ferrari should improve their standard. C'mon there are too many rle changes that is spoiling the sport.

I still feel that the pre-2002 rules were much better than the modern rules. It was good classic racing in those times. We shouldn't blame Ferrari, but, should actually blame the other teams like BMW McLaren etc, for the change of the rules. I loved to see those qualification where drivers used to almost race each other.

At this rate, the rules are going to reach a hieght where cars are going to be banned and drivers have to run around the circuit!!

The sport is getting boring with all those stupid rule changes.

Why dont Max mosley and bernie just stick to rules that existed until 2001?
Why keep changing stuff all the time and telling the world look how stupid i am?
